Title: "Werewolf Chen Xuanfeng" by OceanGazer "Completed"

    **Book Synopsis:**

Guan Canghai: "Ah, Student Chen Xuanfeng, in this modern age, it's common for people to wander into other worlds. But why would a renowned figure from the ancient times like you choose to traverse time and space?"

Chen Xuanfeng: "There's no help for it. Nowadays, everyone is clamoring to enter Jin Yong's literary universe, from the initial protagonists like Yang Guo and Duan Yu, to the subsequent supporting characters like Yang Kang and Tian Botang, and now even Wu Tiande and Yang Lianting have been supplanted. The divine Jin Yong has no choice but to call upon his own characters to carve out their own living space."

Guan Canghai inquired, "Then why did you choose a werewolf as your vessel for reincarnation?"

Chen Xuanfeng: "Don't you think my Nine Yin White Bone Claw pairs splendidly with the Werewolf? Nowadays, when others venture into Jin Yong's world, they often wield the Nine Yang Divine Art or the Northern Ocean Grand Technique. I aspire to show everyone that mastering half of the Nine Yin can also conquer the world."

The Xinghai Continent is a vast expanse of land teeming with diverse life forms. Stretching from the Eternal Night Ice Fields in the north to the Torrid Nazar Sea in the south, across a distance of thirty thousand miles, it is home to hundreds of various-sized tribes.

The most populous human race, since their triumphant battle four centuries ago against the Orcish Alliance and their subsequent seizure of the fertile Golden Great Plains, has solidified their dominance across the Xinghai Continent. Through centuries of relentless expansion and aggression, they have displaced numerous native races that once inhabited the surrounding lands, eventually establishing a vast domain covering seventy percent of the continent, thus laying an unshakable foundation for their rule over other species.

Yet, in the absence of a threat to their thrones, strife among humans began to escalate, from power struggles within courts to wars between nations, from theological conflicts to cutthroat commercial rivalries. Intrigues have intertwined with human history, an unceasing tale of internal conflict.

The Beastfolk are a collective term for the anthropomorphic sub-races on the Xinghai Continent, with the Lion, Bull, Bear, Wolf, and Eagle Clans as their leaders. They govern numerous other tribes, such as the Tiger, Leopard, Elephant, Deer, Sheep, Cat, Dog, Fox, and Snake clans, forming the second most influential force on the continent.

Orcs are naturally robust and valiant, enduring in battle. However, they are not blessed with great intelligence, which hampers their civilization's development. Additionally, intra-racial harmony is lacking, and while their internal strife is less intense than that of humans, they also lack the unity that allows human empires to centralize power effectively. As a result, they can only exist in confederations of tribes, severely limiting their military might. Thus, in the contest for dominance against humanity, the orcs gradually lost ground. Four hundred years ago, in the Glorious Battle, they were defeated and retreated to the northern wilderness, using the Sun-never-set Mountains and the Half-orc Wasteland as barriers to stall human expansion. There, they slowly regained their strength.

Other races, whether they concealed themselves in dense forests, hid atop towering mountains, or sought refuge in subterranean realms and isolated offshore islands, all had the same objective: to evade human conquest. Yet, not a single one of them abandoned their dream of returning to their ancestral lands, living openly, honorably, and freely.

In the year 1384 of the War God Calendar, during the Fiery Azure Moon, the great Shaman of the Beastmen, Starry Sky Seer Belian, bestowed his blessings upon the grandest celebration of their race - the Decennial Beast King Congress.

Given the multitude of Beastman tribes, unifying them into a single nation was an unrealistic dream. However, without unity, they would be helpless against human invasion. Thus, under immense human pressure, the Beastman Tribal Alliance was established.

This alliance, centered around five major clans, formed a Council of Elders. The Shaman from the War God Temple constituted the Inspectorate, tasked with selecting the Beast King through a competitive process, to lead all tribes and wield supreme authority.

The Beast King, in turn, was constrained by both the Council of Elders and the Inspectorate. The former safeguarded the interests of each tribe, preventing the Beast King from abusing his power to weaken others, while the latter held the authority to impeach the king if he proved incompetent, corrupt, or harbored separatist intentions, which could harm the entire alliance.

The election of the Beast King comprised three stages. First, candidates were nominated by their respective tribes, and their accomplishments in leadership were presented before the War God Temple. Upon receiving the approval of the great Shamans, they became eligible to vie for the throne.

The second step involves the candidates leading an equal number of followers in simulated battles. The five with the highest winning rates will ascend to become Chosen Ones. The strength of the followers represents the candidate's charisma, while the outcome of the war reflects their leadership. The War God believes that a king need not be a master tactician but must have the ability to gather wise advisors and formidable warriors, which is a testament to their kingship.

Finally, the Chosen Ones will engage in a divine martial contest before the altar of the War God Temple. The victor will then challenge the previous Orc King. If successful, they shall become the new Orc King. If the previous king has already passed away or willingly abdicates, the final challenge can be bypassed. Should the Orc King die during their tenure, the War God Temple will convene the tribes for an early selection of a new king.

Though the selection is nominally open to all orcs, it is colloquially known as the "Lion King's Contest." All 43 rulers, 22 of whom were Orc Kings, have originated from the Lion Tribe. After all, the Lion Tribe possesses formidable combat prowess, second only to the Elephant Tribe, with speed slightly inferior to the Panther Tribe. Their balanced abilities make them equally adept at offense and defense. Their genuine martial skills far surpass unconventional techniques that focus on a single extreme.

Many exceptional Lion Tribe leaders are innately charismatic and possess the qualities to lead. Occupying the richest Flower-Speaking Grasslands in the southwestern corner of the alliance and founding the strategic Lion Heart City along the Rhine River, the Lion Tribe has amassed great wealth through trade and territory. As a result, at every Orc King Conclave, the Lion Tribe's followers significantly outnumber those of other tribes, with instances of the top Bear Tribe warrior serving as a Lion Tribe follower. Thus, despite various tribe experts participating, the ultimate showdown usually unfolds within the Lion Tribe.

The War God Altar, though named as such, is in reality a massive circular arena. To the east stands a colossal statue of the War God and an epic war sculpture ensemble. To the west lies a luxurious viewing platform for noble chieftains, while the north and south are occupied by grandstands. Around the arena stand 108 blood-red banners, with thunderous war drums echoing like rolling thunder. The sandy soil within the arena is stained dark red from the blood of countless warriors, a testament to the frequent battles fought here. This unyielding spirit of combat serves as the finest offering to the War God.
