    Chapter Index

I know, the night will eventually come!

Swift hurricanes bear the blazing crowns of clouds,

Shadows will assault the sinking sun,

The clang of hailstones echoes across the fields,

I know, the night is about to come!

I have witnessed such sights and heard such sounds,

Yet I still desire to wander through the dark storm,

Serenity fills my heart, brightness surrounds me,

For when I raise my eyes from the dim, dull earth,

I behold your vibrant heaven, high above, far away.

(Adapted from Shelley's poem "The Two Spirits: An Allegory")

Unlike the previous two, when the song of the Queen of the Elves paused, the 'Rainbow Feather Mask' adorning her face did not vanish. Instead, the 'Dream Star Crown' and the 'Song of the Night Moon Ring,' as though summoned, swiftly converged before the Queen and were gently adorned upon her forehead and neck. Immediately, the verdant natural divine energy surrounding the three elves surged into the Queen's body like rivers flowing into the sea, leaving emblems of nature and life within her eyes.

Thus, after three millennia, another elf finally received the blessing of the Goddess of Nature and was successfully crowned as the true Queen of the Elves. From that moment, even the Moon Elves and Wood Elves were compelled to recognize her as the sole sovereign of the elves.

"Praise the Eternal Lord of Life, praise the Supreme Monarch of all elves——————"

Tens of thousands of elves cheered and celebrated the coronation of their Queen.

Among the humans preparing to wage war against the elves from afar, naturally, there were learned scholars who swiftly discerned the reason.

"Hmph, the divine power of the Goddess of Nature descending through multiple planes can indeed greatly stabilize this world's laws, thereby achieving the purpose of repelling the chaotic forces of forbidden spells. But attempting to halt the activation of forbidden spells in this manner is utterly foolish. Can their ritual truly persist indefinitely?"

At once, such scornful words were uttered, but none of the truly powerful felt reassured, for they had faintly detected something amiss. Clearly, something had eluded their predictions. Are the elves a foolish race? Only a fool would believe so!

Thus, these elves must have additional strategies. Regrettably, humans can neither predict nor prevent them.

Indeed, under the worried gazes of many human powerhouses, especially the three forbidden spell mages, a beam of golden light, a thousand times broader than the previous descent of the Goddess of Nature's divine power, once again descended over the ruins of the Heavenly Gate.

Within the golden radiance, Queen Rolantia, bedecked with the 'King's Three Regalia,' cradled a fist-sized oval crystal in her hands, raised it above her head, and chanted the returning incantation towards the sky.

"Tell me, lonely star, your radiant wings

Raised high in the midst of fiery flight,

In which cave of the night

    Will you fold your wings?

Tell me, moon of shifting light and shadow, pale and weary,

Wandering the paths of the sky,

In which place of day or night

    Will you rest?"

    Where can peace be found?

O weary wind, you drift without purpose,

Like a wanderer cast out by the world,

Do you still have secret places to rest

    On clouds or waves?

    Thus, O lost wanderer,

Have you glimpsed my beacon of peace,

If you still remember the lighthouse and fragrance of this homeland,

Please pause your steps for it." (Adapted from Shelley's poem "The World's Wanderer")

In the midst of the Queen of the Elves' incantation, amidst the anticipation of all the elven mages, and under the puzzled and fearful gazes of distant humans, the vast illusory image of a city finally emerged slowly from the void, crossing space, slicing through clouds, passing through the body of the Queen of the Elves, and firmly settling on the ruins of the Heavenly Gate. Then, amidst the rotation of countless magic circles, it gradually transformed from a phantom into a solid entity.

Tears flowed from the eyes of every elf.

The city's gardens still bloomed with fragrance.

    The crystal-clear fountains still danced.

The graceful sculptures stood timelessly beautiful.

Everything appeared as if frozen in time from three millennia past.

Only, we who welcome you have changed.

After three millennia, the "Eternal Capital — Silmeridania" and the Primeval Golden Tree, finally reappeared in this world, following the rebirth of the Queen of the Elves.

It is hard to say which is more important to the elves: reasserting dominance over the continent or summoning their ancient capital.

Elves, with lifespans stretching millennia, are more nostalgic than any other intelligent beings. Thus, their emotional attachment to "Silmeridania," the cradle of all elven civilization, and the Primeval Golden Tree is beyond the comprehension of any other race. Long ago, the wise among the elves had repeatedly simulated every step required to summon the "Eternal Capital" back. They bypassed insurmountable challenges and tirelessly refined the possible steps, hoping that one day, once the elves overcame other obstacles, they could seamlessly restore the ancient capital to its rightful place.

After countless waits and adventures, this wish was finally fulfilled.

The elves first lulled human vigilance with a highly restrained naval battle, then boldly set foot on the continent with overwhelming force, forcing humans to fight in disarray on two fronts. They then unleashed an astonishing number of elemental soul armors, completely shattering the human strategy of overwhelming the elves with sheer numbers. When the bewildered rulers had no choice but to consider using forbidden spells, the elves swiftly occupied the Sealed Wasteland, displaying a formidable strength that tempted humans into a magical showdown, ultimately luring humans into launching a forbidden spell attack at the location the elves desired.
