Chapter 31: Blessing or Doom, Inevitable Either Way

Xu Feng held his girlfriend's hand as they headed for the estate, but Corona stopped, her eyes holding a hint of apology. "I'm sorry, I need to return to the palace first."

Although Xu Feng had left a note before departing, his absence had lasted much longer than expected—over a full month. Girls in love missed their partners the most, and elves were no exception. Seeing her boyfriend not return day after day, Yu Sha had grown anxious. The girl had even started overthinking, wondering if she had done something wrong and if her boyfriend had left her.

Xu Feng was moved. After being together for so long, he knew how shy Yu Sha was by nature. Her public confession now proved just how much she cared for him. "Alright, silly girl, I promise I won't leave you alone for so long again."

As he spoke, Xu Feng slid one hand under Yu Sha's knees and lifted her into his arms. Her face flushed red, but she was also incredibly happy. As the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. The servants naturally wouldn't disturb them. Xu Feng carried Yu Sha to the bedroom.
