### Chapter 41: The Map of Nations
by### Chapter 41: The Map of Nations
Suye glanced at the basic magic class notes and felt that he hadn’t memorized them well enough. However, these contents were crucial. Seeing Holt resting out of the corner of his eye, he had an idea.
Suye pretended to ask, "Holt, how did your basic magic class go today?"
Holt immediately felt a headache coming on and replied, "I can probably understand it, but I can't remember it."
Suye immediately smiled and said, "I think it’s fine. Let me tell you, what we learned today is easy to remember. Imagine a map in your mind. In the center is the Greek peninsula and the Aegean Sea. At the boundary between the blue sea and the brown land, there stands a tall white magic tower reaching into the clouds. This is the inner vision form of Greek mages. Around the magic tower, a rainbow carriage runs endlessly on the clouds. The magic carriage is the commonly used flying magic tool of Greek mages."
"Above, to the north, is a vast icy wasteland filled with various beasts—polar bears, arctic foxes, and large whales—all howling wildly. These animals are the inner vision forms of Northern European mages, called beast souls. In the icy wasteland, large ships break through the ice, which are the commonly used flying magic tools of Northern European mages."
"To the right, to the east, is a vast green plain with two major rivers running through it. Between the two rivers, there is a large bronze lamp. When you rub it, a genie with a head, arms, and upper body but no lower body pops out. This is the inner vision form of Persian mages, known as genies. A flying carpet zips around like a mad dog, which is the flying magic tool of Persian mages."
"Below, to the south, is a vast desert, desolate and barren. At the center of the desert, there stands a huge hourglass reaching up to the sky. The golden sand trickles down, representing the inner vision form of Egyptian mages, the hourglass. You'll notice pyramids circling around the hourglass, flying back and forth, which are the commonly used flying magic tools of Egyptian mages."
Before Holt could speak, Suye continued, "Now, imagine a single map encompassing the mage systems of four nations. By connecting the Greek magic tower, the beast souls of Northern European mages, the genies of Persia, and the hourglass of Egypt, isn't it clearer and more vivid?"
Holt nodded in confusion, "Yes, the big magic tower, the beasts in the snow, the genie between the two rivers, the hourglass in the desert. And then what?"
"And then keep studying, come on!"
Suye patted Holt's arm and closed his eyes. An image of the mnemonic map of the four magical nations appeared in his mind. He reviewed it again and felt it was firmly ingrained. He opened the magic book to find the next key point.
After a while, Suye patted the dazed Holt again and said, "Holt, your meditation class doesn't seem to be going well, does it?"
"Hmm," Holt looked at Suye, sensing an ominous feeling.
"In that case, let me explain about drawing magic arrays..."
Suye suddenly became a chatterbox, explaining three key points during the break.
The bell for the last self-study class rang, and Suye stopped, saying, "Holt, let's study hard together. You can do it!"
Holt, moved, said, "Thank you, Suye. After you explained it, I feel much better. Otherwise, I still wouldn't understand."
Suye said, "When you can explain it to me, you'll truly understand it. Keep going."
Holt hurriedly shook his head, "No way, I couldn't explain it to you. You should keep explaining to me."
"No problem!" Suye said.
Since there were no teachers supervising, the self-study class was noisy. Some studious students left the classroom to find quieter places to study.
Suye carried his magic book and went to each teacher to ask about the content to review today and the content to preview tomorrow.
By the time he returned, the self-study class was almost over.
Without caring about others, Suye carefully wrote the review and preview content on the blackboard.
As soon as the dismissal bell rang, the students scattered. One-third of them stayed to continue studying.
Suye didn't leave but accompanied Holt to have dinner and then to the arena. Along the way, he kept talking about several key points from today's classes. Whenever he got stuck, he quickly flipped through the book to check and then continued.
Holt was immensely grateful but felt that Suye's behavior was odd.
However, given Suye's seriousness, he couldn't refuse.
Suye didn't overly disturb Holt and left when he started practicing combat techniques.
After walking a few streets away, he could no longer see Plato's Academy. Suddenly, a carriage stopped in front of him.
"Suye, good evening."
Hutton jumped off the carriage with a smile, followed by two tall and muscular youths.
If this had happened yesterday, Suye would have been nervous. But now, after glancing at the two strong youths, he felt they were at most apprentice warrior level and smiled slightly.
The demon ox rope was already tied around his waist, hidden by his belt.
"Hutton, good evening to you too."
Suye was ready to take out the magic short sword from the ruins space.
Hutton smiled exaggeratedly and said, "You said you wanted to treat me to dinner at Dolphin River. My father heard about it. He said, 'How can a student treat another student to dinner?' So, he reserved a private room at Dolphin River today to host you. Would Suye be willing to come?"
Suye, who was planning to escape, paused and asked, "Really at Dolphin River?"
Hutton smirked arrogantly, "That place might be rare for you, but for us, it's just a regular restaurant. My father must have been waiting for a long time. You wouldn't dare to go, would you?"
"Your father is already there?"
Hutton impatiently said, "Of course, why would I lie to you?"
The two youths behind Hutton stepped forward, staring intently at Suye.
Realizing Hutton was telling the truth, Suye smiled and said, "If it's Dolphin River, I really want to see it."
Hutton sneered, "Then get in the carriage. Let's have a nice dinner together!"
He emphasized the word "nice."
"Sure, sure, Hutton, you're so enthusiastic." Suye smiled and climbed into the carriage.
Hutton gave the other two youths a nod, signaling them to watch Suye closely.
The two youths nodded slightly.
All four sat down, and the coachman cracked the whip. Four horses pulled the carriage forward.
Suye looked around the carriage and said, "Hutton, I didn't realize your family was so wealthy. Ordinary craftsmen can't make carriages; only mages can. This carriage must be worth at least a hundred gold eagles, right?"
"A hundred gold eagles? Suye, you're being quite blunt. My father spent a full three hundred gold eagles on this carriage!" Hutton made no effort to hide his pride.
Suye said in surprise, "Really? If ordinary carriages are this expensive, how much do mages' magic carriages cost?"
Hutton sneered, "Country bumpkin. The cheapest magic carriage costs at least two thousand gold eagles, and that’s only for a two-seater."
"Is that so."
Suye deliberately made small talk to distract Hutton, secretly glancing outside the carriage a few times. Seeing that they were indeed heading to Dolphin River, he felt relieved.
