Chapter 84 Storming the Enemy (Part 1)

Realizing he was the cause, Lin Xing felt a jolt of alarm. Why did he always create such a massive commotion every time he broke through? Last time, he had damaged numerous buildings on his family’s estate; now, he hadn’t even left this thatched hut in peace.

Despite the enormous disturbance, Lin Xing was elated. Anyone would be overjoyed—ecstatic, even—to achieve a breakthrough, especially one of such extraordinary power.

“Um, Elder Wang,” Lin Xing said sheepishly.

“Hmm?” Elder Wang gave him a questioning look.

“I think… I think this commotion was caused by me,” Lin Xing said nervously.

“Oh, it was caused by you,” Elder Wang nodded, replying casually.

Lin Xing lifted his head, staring at Elder Wang, wondering why he wasn’t reacting more strongly. But then—

“What?!” Elder Wang leapt to his feet, pointing a finger at Lin Xing in utter disbelief. “You’re saying *you* caused such a colossal disturbance?” Lin Xing secretly delighted in his expression of shock and incredulity.

“I believe it was due to me that things turned out this way,” Lin Xing declared firmly, locking eyes with Elder Wang.

“Are you serious?” Elder Wang stared at him, incredulous. Lin Xing nodded resolutely.

“You little brat—give me back my house!” Elder Wang roared and lunged at Lin Xing. Seeing this, Lin Xing knew he was in trouble and instantly dodged aside and bolted!

“How dare you run, kid! If you don’t give me back my house, just see where you’ll escape to!” Elder Wang bellowed, beside himself with rage.

Elder Wang chased frantically, all the while observing Lin Xing. Lin Xing appeared to be taking a leisurely stroll—sauntering ahead as if on a casual walk rather than fleeing for his life! Yet the distance between them remained perfectly constant—neither widening nor narrowing.

A flash of impatience crossed Elder Wang’s face. He could no longer hold back—he unleashed his full tenfold cultivation power, causing his speed to skyrocket instantly! He shot toward Lin Xing like an arrow loosed from a bow!

Lin Xing also wanted to test the limits of his newfound speed. So, he drove force through both feet and fully circulated the Zhen Qi within his body. Instantly, he felt the vortex of Zhen Qi in his dantian accelerate its rotation—spinning like a high-speed flywheel, circulating rapidly. This, in turn, caused the Zhen Qi surging through his surrounding meridians to rush inward at tremendous velocity and be expelled just as swiftly from the other end! Because it entered the dantian at high speed and exited with equal speed, the Zhen Qi also circulated at breakneck pace throughout his meridians.

Feeling the Zhen Qi racing through his body at such incredible speed, Lin Xing was thrilled. He slammed his feet hard into the ground—and his entire body launched skyward! Like a cannonball fired from a barrel, he shot forward with a whoosh.

Witnessing this, Elder Wang gave a silent nod of approval and halted his pursuit. This kid was far stronger than before. Even at his peak now, he might not catch him. Besides, he’d only intended to gauge how far Lin Xing’s strength had advanced—not actually settle scores with him.

Suddenly—“Holy crap!” Lin Xing’s scream pierced the air.

Elder Wang was startled, fearing something had befallen Lin Xing. He looked up—and couldn’t help bursting into laughter.

It turned out that as Lin Xing surged forward, he’d already been heading straight for a cliff ahead—a sheer stone wall blocking his path! Now, Lin Xing was hurtling directly toward it.

He fully circulated the Zhen Qi within his body—and his entire body shot forward like a cannonball! Lin Xing was stunned by his own speed.

“Holy crap!” Lin Xing screamed, watching himself rocket toward the cliff. Realizing impact was imminent, he couldn’t help but cry out again.

Lin Xing was shocked by his own speed—but even more shocked that he was about to crash headlong into the cliff. If he actually did, others would laugh themselves sick upon hearing about it!

So Lin Xing instantly ceased circulating his Zhen Qi. Though he stopped immediately, his momentum carried him forward relentlessly—smashing straight toward the cliff.

“No way!” Lin Xing exclaimed, watching the collision draw near. Suddenly, he thrust out his palm and slammed it against the cliff face.

“Boom!” His palm sent dust flying, blasting a large hole into the rock. Amid the billowing dust, a figure shot backward—flipping midair before landing neatly behind.

“Cough, cough.” Lin Xing coughed, choking on the dust. Elder Wang leapt to his side, scanning him up and down—then suddenly burst into laughter.

Lin Xing glanced at his own appearance and couldn’t help but smile wryly. He looked as if he’d just crawled out of a desert—dust-coated from head to toe!

Just moments earlier, to avoid crashing, Lin Xing had forcefully struck the cliff with his palm. Yet having just broken through, he wasn’t yet accustomed to his new strength. Though his full-power palm strike prevented direct bodily impact, it couldn’t spare him from being buried head-to-toe in dust.

Three days later, Lin Xing had fully mastered his newfound power. Realizing he’d stayed here for over half a year, he bid farewell to Elder Wang and prepared to descend the mountain.

“Lin Xing, what level has your strength reached now?” Elder Wang asked as he was about to depart.

“I’m not sure,” Lin Xing shook his head. “Maybe Saint Level—maybe Great Sword Master!” He truly couldn’t say for certain. Moreover, his power differed fundamentally from that of this world, making it impossible to classify using their existing ranking system!

As for the condition within his body, Lin Xing had no intention of revealing it to anyone. After all, it was safer to keep his secrets to himself—if his enemies discovered them, it wouldn’t end well.

But!” Elder Wang spoke solemnly, “Don’t go too far. If you push the Divine Wind Sect to the brink and force their hidden masters to emerge, with your current strength, you’ll simply be waiting to be chopped up like vegetables!”

“What? They have hidden masters? What’s going on?” Lin Xing asked urgently.

Elder Wang shook his head without replying, turned around, and walked away. “Just remember—be careful!”

“So mysterious,” Lin Xing muttered. Casting one last glance at the place, he leapt into the air and rushed outward.
