Chapter 009 【Rampage】
byIn the Pearl Apartment unit shared by Gu Feng and Lin Jiaying.
Gu Feng placed the spicy fish he had made and a plate of vegetables on the dining table, then served two bowls of rice. He glanced at his watch—it was already 7:30.
After a moment's thought, Gu Feng got up and walked to the living room. He picked up the phone from the coffee table and dialed Lin Jiaying's number.
"Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently busy." After ringing twice, an automated voice came on. Clearly, Lin Jiaying had seen his call and hung up directly.
Gu Feng hung up and dialed again.
Just like before, Lin Jiaying let it ring once before hanging up.
...
In a lavishly decorated private karaoke room at Leopard Luxury Nightclub, Lin Jiaying glanced at her phone, then at Wang Jingjing beside her. Wang Jingjing was holding a microphone, belting out a song.
"Jingjing, it's getting late. I should go back," Lin Jiaying said, tugging at Wang Jingjing's sleeve.
Wang Jingjing, lost in the song, didn't even turn her head. "It's still early. Stay a bit longer," she said before continuing.
"Miss Lin, stay a while longer. It's still early," Zhou Shao said with a smile, noticing Lin Jiaying's intention to leave. "What else would you like to eat? I'll have Fatty ask the server." As he spoke, he gave a meaningful look to Fatty beside him.
Fatty caught on immediately. He carefully took a pill from his pocket and picked up the red wine on the table, making a show of pouring Lin Jiaying a drink.
"I won't drink anymore," Lin Jiaying said. Her face was slightly flushed from the glass of red wine she had earlier, her eyes hazy and glistening. She stood up and shook her head. "I need to go back. It's already very late."
As she shook her head in refusal, she put her phone back in her pocket, accidentally answering the call.
When the call went through and he heard the chaotic noise, Gu Feng asked sternly, "Where are you?"
"Have one more drink. You can leave after this one. Since we're out to have fun, let's enjoy ourselves!" Fatty said, dropping the pill into the glass as he poured the wine. After filling it, he handed the glass to Lin Jiaying.
Gu Feng, who had been waiting for Lin Jiaying's reply, vaguely heard Fatty's voice. His face darkened slightly as he asked again, "Lin Jiaying, where are you?"
Gu Feng shouted, but the music in the private room was even louder, completely drowning out his words. Lin Jiaying didn't hear him at all.
At Fatty's words, Lin Jiaying shook her head firmly. "No, I really can't."
Seeing Lin Jiaying's insistence on leaving, Zhou Shao grew impatient. He got up, walked over to Wang Jingjing, and whispered something to her.
After hearing Zhou Shao, Wang Jingjing put down the microphone. "Jia Ying, since you want to leave, let's all have one last drink together. If you're out to have fun, you might as well enjoy yourself!" she said.
As Wang Jingjing spoke, Fatty poured wine for her, also slipping a pill into her glass.
Hearing this, Lin Jiaying felt she couldn't say no. She picked up the glass from the table and said, "After this drink, I'm leaving. You all enjoy yourselves."
Seeing Lin Jiaying pick up her glass, Zhou Shao and the others excitedly raised theirs. The drug Fatty had used was fast-acting, taking effect within seconds when mixed with alcohol. Once Lin Jiaying drank that glass, she wouldn't be leaving the private room.
Gu Feng asked three times where Lin Jiaying was without getting a reply. He could only hear chaotic music and, occasionally, men's voices.
His face turned extremely grim, his brow tightly furrowed. He kept the line open.
After a few minutes of this, Gu Feng suddenly heard a man say, "Zhou Shao, looks like the drug's taking effect. Should we do it here or go to a hotel?"
"Let's go to a hotel. Lin Jiaying is probably still a virgin. I plan to have my fun with her all night."
"Zhou Shao, you can even tell that?"
"Of course! I've been with at least a thousand women, if not ten thousand!"
"Alright, pack up and let's go. I know a newly opened luxury hotel called Grand Holiday Hotel. The environment is good."
...
Hearing this, Gu Feng's expression turned terrifyingly cold.
He strode to the shoe rack with his phone, changed his shoes, and went out.
Once outside, he ran toward the apartment exit while holding the phone to his ear, listening to the commotion. From the conversation, Gu Feng learned that the group had already gotten into a car and were on their way to the Grand Holiday Hotel.
Reaching the apartment entrance, Gu Feng immediately hailed a taxi and said coldly, "Holiday Hotel. Fast!"
The driver was startled by Gu Feng's icy expression but nodded and started the car.
Between 6 and 8 PM was peak traffic time. The streets were packed with vehicles, and traffic jams were severe.
The taxi driver noticed that every time the car stopped, Gu Feng's eyes grew colder. When the driver stopped for the sixth time, Gu Feng took out over a thousand Hong Kong dollars from his trouser pocket and handed them over. "Come get your car tomorrow at Pearl Apartment entrance."
"No way!" The driver's face changed, and he shook his head in refusal. However, before he could finish speaking, Gu Feng grabbed him like a ragdoll and threw him out of the car.
After doing this, Gu Feng slammed his foot on the accelerator.
The next moment, to the sound of the taxi driver's shouts, Gu Feng drove the taxi past the vehicles ahead, quickly disappearing into the traffic flow.
The driver stamped his foot, furious, then took out his phone to call the police.
Soon, people on that street witnessed an astonishing sight: a taxi was overtaking cars ahead in a bizarre, daring fashion. Several of the overtakes were particularly hair-raising.
Many drivers noticed this and stuck their heads out of their windows, expressions full of surprise.
Then, under the watchful eyes of many, the taxi performed a spectacular drift at a turn and vanished from sight.
The Grand Holiday Hotel was located by the sea, a five-star luxury hotel with a building over twenty stories high. Below, there was a massive parking lot and a rear garden.
At night, the neon lights at the hotel entrance illuminated the entire building in a riot of color, looking from a distance like something out of a dream.
Having run six red lights and overtaken over a hundred cars, Gu Feng arrived at the Grand Holiday Hotel.
"You! Move that piece of junk!" A security guard, initially stunned to see a taxi perform a flashy drift and stop at the hotel entrance, then pointed his electric baton at Gu Feng.
Gu Feng, his face filled with murderous intent, held the phone to his ear, ran up to the guard in a few steps, and said, "I'm going in to find someone. I'll be right out."
Seeing Gu Feng wearing a cheap camouflage T-shirt, the guard shook his head. "You can't go in. Move your car now!"
Clearly, in the guard's eyes, someone like Gu Feng couldn't afford to stay there.
Gu Feng narrowed his eyes slightly. His right hand shot out, knocking the guard's hand away. Then, he dashed forward like a gust of wind, disappearing through the hotel entrance.
"Miss, how do I get to room 808?" Gu Feng asked hurriedly as he reached the front desk.
"To the right," the receptionist replied. Her professionalism was much better than the guard's. Although she noticed Gu Feng's inexpensive clothing, she answered his question promptly.
Gu Feng didn't have time to say thank you. He quickly ran toward the elevators on the right.
Soon, Gu Feng arrived outside room 808 at the Holiday Hotel. He knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" came an annoyed male voice from inside.
"Hotel staff," Gu Feng replied. He raised his wrist to check the time and, after a brief calculation, felt slightly relieved. Based on his timing, the man inside had brought Lin Jiaying in less than ten seconds ago.
"Get lost. I don't need any service here," came the voice from the room again, sounding very impatient.
Gu Feng put his phone in his pocket, lifted his leg, and kicked the door with all his might. With a loud "BANG!", the door was sent flying inward from the impact.
Then, expressionless, Gu Feng walked in.
P.S.: Putting drugs in drinks is a common tactic used by scumbags. Be very careful when going out to have fun.
