If Gu Feng hadn't been listening attentively to Zhou Tong's performance earlier, then in that final moment, he was completely immersed in her singing. It wasn't until Zhou Tong bowed and disappeared from the center of the stage that he came back to his senses.

Beside Gu Feng, Lin Jiaying's face was covered in tears. Her small mouth was slightly open as she hummed the tune of the song that had just ended, and she was still waving the glow stick in her hand.

"Let's go," Gu Feng said, taking out a tissue once more to wipe the tears from Lin Jiaying's face before gently taking her hand.

Lin Jiaying nodded softly, casting a reluctant glance in the direction where Zhou Tong had vanished. Then, she buried her head in Gu Feng's chest and followed him as they moved with the crowd toward the exit.

Even though the concert had ended, the stadium still echoed with the fans' singing. Many were in tears, watching the replay on the big screen, humming along, unwilling to leave.

Once they were outside the stadium, seeing Lin Jiaying's reluctant expression as she nestled in his arms, an idea occurred to Gu Feng. After thinking for a moment, he made a decision and asked, "Jia Ying, are you hungry?"

In the afternoon, Lin Jiaying had been so worried about being late that she hadn't eaten a thing. Hearing Gu Feng's question now, she instinctively nodded.

"How about I take you to Temple Street for some snacks?" Gu Feng remembered the time Lin Jiaying had mentioned wanting to go to Temple Street for street food.

At the mention of "Temple Street," Lin Jiaying's expression brightened considerably. She forced a faint smile and nodded again.

Temple Street at night was much livelier than usual. The entire street was filled with the shouts of vendors. Under the neon lights, it was a scene of bustling excitement.

Lin Jiaying's initially downcast mood improved significantly due to the lively atmosphere of Temple Street, and a smile returned to her face. She still nestled in Gu Feng's arms. Unconsciously, she had begun to feel that leaning against Gu Feng was not only comfortable but also very safe, especially since his faint masculine scent was quite pleasant.

Gu Feng didn't take Lin Jiaying to the same open-air food stall (dai pai dong) where he had eaten with Xu Qiang last time. Instead, he chose a different one.

"Bring us half a dozen raw oysters, half a dozen scallops..." After sitting down, Lin Jiaying held the menu, reading off the dishes while swallowing hard. Clearly, her appetite was in full swing.

"Please wait a moment, your food will be ready soon," the waiter said with a smile, quickly jotting down Lin Jiaying's order.

Lin Jiaying nodded, unable to resist stealing glances at the food on the surrounding tables and swallowing several times. Then, as if remembering something, she said, "You wait here. I'm going to buy some oyster pancakes and freshly squeezed juice."

"I'll go buy them for you," Gu Feng said with a slight smile, standing up before Lin Jiaying could object, and walked out of the food stall.

Oyster pancakes are a Teochew-style food, available at most Teochew restaurants. But when it comes to finding a truly delicious version on the street, only the stall at Temple Street fits the bill.

Gu Feng had been to Temple Street before and was very familiar with the layout. He quickly arrived at the most famous oyster pancake stall, run by a veteran cook.

The master had been running his stall at Temple Street for twenty-three years, and it was always packed. His oysters came from his hometown, and he used mainland eggs. The key to his oyster pancakes being so fragrant and crispy was the batter recipe he had developed himself. Moreover, he changed the frying oil several times a night to ensure quality, never cutting corners to save costs!

Perhaps due to good luck, the line at the stall wasn't very long. After only a short wait, Gu Feng bought the oyster pancakes.

Next, Gu Feng went to a freshly squeezed juice shop and bought two servings of juice.

After getting these two items, Gu Feng headed back to the food stall. As he neared the entrance, he heard a racket from inside. Some customers were even scrambling out, looking panicked.

Gu Feng frowned and quickly entered the food stall.

The next moment, his expression changed!

He saw that Lin Jiaying's table was surrounded by a group of people. They had cornered Lin Jiaying against the wall, grinning lecherously. One of them, a blond guy—the same Blondie Gu Feng had taught a lesson to last time—was even occasionally reaching out to play with Lin Jiaying's hair, though she kept dodging his hand.

Lin Jiaying had her arms crossed over her chest, looking at the people around her in terror. She was curled up, utterly frightened, tears welling up in her eyes. "Wh-what... what do you want?"

"What do we want?" Blondie leered. "Big Brother Blondie has taken a liking to you. You're going to be my woman!"

With that, Blondie reached out to grab Lin Jiaying's slightly budding chest. His right hand, which Gu Feng had broken last time, was still in a cast, so he was using his left hand.

Just as Blondie's hand was halfway there, a large hand suddenly clamped down on his wrist. Then, before he could even start cursing, a sharp *crack!* sound echoed—the sound of a bone breaking.

Blondie cried out in pain and saw Gu Feng.

Lin Jiaying, who had been terrified out of her wits, suddenly saw Gu Feng and immediately burst into tears, hiding behind him, her body trembling uncontrollably.

Gu Feng placed the things in his hands on the table and gently patted Lin Jiaying's head. "Don't cry, Jia Ying. No one will bully you!" With that, he abruptly turned and kicked one of the thugs charging toward him.

That thug was a new underling Blondie had taken on and didn't know about the incident where Gu Feng had taught Blondie a lesson. Seeing Blondie injured, he instinctively pulled out a switchblade, intending to show off in front of his boss!

*Thud!* The guy was sent flying by Gu Feng's kick, crashing into two tables. He lay on the ground, clutching his chest, moaning in pain.

Meanwhile, Blondie dashed out of the food stall as fast as he could. Once outside, he stopped, turned back, and gave Gu Feng a cold glare, threatening, "You've got guts, kid. Don't you dare leave!"

Gu Feng didn't reply, merely returning Blondie's glare with a cold stare of his own.

Blondie's face instantly paled, and he quickly fled with his remaining underlings in tow.

At the same time, the owner of the food stall walked over to Gu Feng with a worried expression. "You should leave quickly. That Blondie is definitely going to call for backup. Once they get here, you won't be able to leave." As he spoke, he looked heartbrokenly at the overturned tables.

Lin Jiaying had been in a state of shock since Gu Feng started fighting. Hearing the owner's words, she snapped back to reality. Without even wiping the sweat from her face, she grabbed Gu Feng's arm, crying, "Gu Feng, let's go."

Clearly, Lin Jiaying was very afraid of Blondie and his gang.

Gu Feng's face was frighteningly dark. He frowned, thought for two seconds, then gently wiped the tears from the corners of Lin Jiaying's eyes and said softly, "Jia Ying, I promised to bring you to Temple Street to eat, and we're going to finish our meal before we leave. Don't worry, as long as I'm here, no one can hurt you!"

With that, he looked at the owner and said, "Boss, please prepare the food we ordered. I'll compensate you fully for any damage to the restaurant."

The owner, seeing the resolute expression on Gu Feng's face, didn't dare say more and could only sigh before walking away.

Lin Jiaying looked at Gu Feng's determined face, wanting to say something but finding herself unable to speak. Her heart was filled with something called gratitude, and tears kept streaming from her eyes, soaking her beautiful face.

Gu Feng wiped the tears from Lin Jiaying's face once more, then gently guided her to sit back down in her seat. He picked up his phone and walked to a secluded corner of the food stall, where he dialed a number.
