Can Yue shook his head and said, "Relax, he'll be fine. Let's just keep watching."

"How is he?" Xiao Shiyin asked anxiously. She had watched helplessly as the massive lightning bolt struck Lin Xing.

But when the lightning made contact with Lin Xing's body, there was no sound at all. Without any commotion, it was absorbed wholly into his body.

A smile appeared on Can Yue's face. "Don't worry, fate has given this boy another opportunity."

Xiao Shiyin glanced at Lin Xing and immediately understood. "Could it be...?"

Can Yue nodded. "Yes. Let's go. It will be some time before he wakes up. We should head back first." Can Yue wrapped an arm around Xiao Shiyin's slender waist as he spoke.

Xiao Shiyin took one last look at Lin Xing before leaving with Can Yue.

Lin Xing watched as the lightning bolt, powerful enough to shatter an entire mountain, struck down toward him. He closed his eyes, resigned to his fate. He knew there was no way to avoid it.

The moment he closed his eyes, Lin Xing suddenly felt a loud "boom" in his mind. His entire body trembled as an electric current surged through him! The tingling, numbing sensation made him let out a groan of relief.

The imagined scene of his body being shattered did not occur. Lin Xing was utterly astonished, and then he saw the lightning that had entered his body miraculously begin to repair his damaged form.

Wherever the current flowed, his injuries healed further. Lin Xing observed the molecules within the current flowing continuously through his body. The crackling, sparking electricity entered his cells, rapidly repairing everything.

At some point, Lin Xing had sat up cross-legged and began cultivating in harmony with the electric current that had entered his body.
