Soap is a standard for nobles, but the degree of importance they place on it varies. Noble families like Liszt cannot do without soap; others don't care whether they have it or not.
Gaierta was clearly one of those who didn't care. One could tell from his greasy hair that he wasn't particular about such things.
After receiving the Flower Soap, he merely opened the box to take a look before instructing his steward to send it to the bathroom and then went off horseback hunting.
Time flew by until night fell.
Gaierta did not return to the castle for dinner, choosing instead to drink with his knights. His wife also did not come back for dinner; both were accustomed to enjoying themselves outside. It wasn't until the moon rose that his wife returned from socializing with other noble ladies, yawning as she entered the castle.
"Has my lord returned yet?"
"My lord has not returned yet, madam."
"All day long, drinking outside. Never mind, Li Ya, go draw me a bath." The lady complained and ordered her personal maid to prepare a bath for her.
A moment later, she entered the bathroom.
But soon she shouted, "Li Ya, Li Ya, damn it, where is my soap!"
Li Ya hurried in, "Madam, your soap is in the wooden box on your left." As she spoke, she lifted the box with the black tulip design, opened the lid, revealing the pink Flower Soap inside.
"When did you change the soap?" The lady frowned, her tone filled with anger.
She was used to using rough, powdered soap, and this new type made her feel uncomfortable.
Most importantly, someone had replaced her preferred items without her permission.
Li Ya quickly explained, "It was my lord, my lord received the new Flower Soap from Flower Town today and instructed us to switch to this type."
"From Flower Town?" The lady was taken aback upon hearing this, picking up the Flower Soap. Images of a face so handsome that women envied it flashed through her mind. "Baron Liszt's town, that young man always likes to experiment with new things... Alright, you may leave."
Leaving the bathroom, Li Ya breathed a sigh of relief.
In the bathtub, steam from the hot water swirled around her. Holding the Flower Soap, the lady's eyes became dreamy as she thought of something. She wet the soap and began rubbing it over her body, feeling its smoothness and abundant foam.
Women love bubbles when bathing.
She couldn't help but touch her skin, which had been rubbed with the Flower Soap. At forty, her skin was gradually becoming loose, with pores expanding.
But now, under the smoothness of the Flower Soap, it felt as delicate as a baby's.
The sensation drew her to continuously caress her skin, making the experience even more delightful, with the bubbles adding to the atmosphere.
After rubbing herself countless times, she rinsed off the bubbles, revealing clean skin.
The candles in the bathroom provided dim light, but she could still see that her skin looked cleaner than usual. The texture was unlike anything she had experienced before, as if the soap had cleaned deep into her skin.
"This is an unprecedented comfort!" She held the small piece of Flower Soap, growing more fond of it. "Much better than regular soap, I love this feeling."
Usually, she finished bathing within half an hour.
This time, she asked the maid to add hot water twice, spending a full hour in the bath.
When she rinsed off and wrung out her hair, even her personal maid noticed the difference: "Madam, you look much younger tonight, truly beautiful." Whether the lady was beautiful was debatable, but her skin felt tighter to Li Ya's touch.
Previously, it had been loose, but now it was firm.
The contrast was striking.
The lady was in high spirits: "Isn't it magical, Li Ya? It's hard to believe that a piece of Flower Soap could make me feel young again."
"Is this Flower Soap really that magical?"
"Absolutely magical, just like Liszt from Flower Town. Seafood, intermediate-level magical beasts, thorn fairies, fried eggs, egg soup, and various breads. As many nobles say, Flower Town is blessed by the glory of knights."
Li Ya had accompanied the lady to Flower Town and tasted the new foods: "Flower Town is indeed a unique place."
After combing her hair, the lady touched her face, admiring herself in the crystal mirror for a while before leaving the bathroom.
She called the steward and instructed, "Remember to have my lord use the Flower Soap when he returns."
"Yes, madam."
...
Gaierta returned late, slightly drunk, and took a bath under the servants' care. Following the lady's instructions, they used the Flower Soap on him.
However, he lacked patience and only hastily rubbed himself with the soap before rinsing off.
Entering the bedroom, he saw his wife checking the thick parchment ledger, verifying the income from their estate. He felt a bit dazed, as his usually old and unattractive wife seemed to radiate a glow tonight.
Shaking his head to clear the illusion,
"Finish early and get some sleep," he said, lying down. Then, glancing at his wife's arm, he noticed it looked much whiter and softer.
Unable to resist, he reached out and touched it.
Instantly, the impression of loose skin was replaced by a firm touch, causing him to let out a strange "Hmm." Perhaps due to the alcohol, he felt a surge of long-lost desire. His hand naturally moved to her sagging chest.
"I'll finish reading and then sleep... What's wrong?" Surprised by the sudden touch, the lady wondered, as it wasn't the monthly tax payment day.
"There's nothing." Gaierta said, but his body did not stop; he directly pressed down on his wife.
Despite finding it strange, his wife did not push him away. Instead, she tossed aside the thick parchment and began to respond to Gaierta's initiative—such proactive moments had become increasingly rare over the years.
A few minutes later.
Everything returned to calm.
Gaierta rolled off and lay on the bed, utterly exhausted. After a few heavy breaths, he fell into a deep sleep. Beside him, his wife sighed contentedly, covered her husband with the blanket, and then, taking advantage of the lingering excitement, took care of her own worries and troubles.
After calming down, she touched her now tighter skin and a smile appeared at the corner of her mouth: "We need to always keep floral soap in the bathroom."
She turned and blew out the candle.
She also covered herself with the blanket and fell into a deep sleep.
