Chapter 795: My Daughter Has Grown Up
by adminReturning empty-handed from Heart Island.
Liszt couldn't wait to urge the construction of the Black Horse Island shipyard. He was a man full of contradictions—sometimes leisurely dawdling, other times impatient for results.
However, the development of the shipbuilding industry couldn’t bear fruit just by rushing. Even with the guidance of the Sapphire Duchy’s shipwrights and the efforts of the local shipwrights, they still hadn’t fully mastered the technology of three-masted ships. Accumulating expertise and continuous experimentation took time.
While silently waiting for the shipyard to produce the three-masted ships, Liszt also settled down to meticulously refine the *Fire Dragon Knight’s Dragon Aura Manual*.
One day, while inspecting the territory’s blacksmith shops, he watched the blacksmiths rhythmically hammering red-hot iron blocks into shape with large and small hammers. Suddenly, inspiration struck him. Soon after, he created the fifth move, *Quakehammer*, based on the hammering motions.
From then on, the *Dragon Aura Manual* had five moves:
*Dragon Slash*—chop, *Skyburn*—sweep, *Sun Devourer*—stab, *Boil the Sea*—twist, and *Quakehammer*—hammer. Executed seamlessly alongside the Fire Dragon Rio, the Fire Dragon Knight’s power surged dramatically.
Though the next stage of the Dragon Knight’s cultivation remained unknown, his strength could still grow exponentially at this stage. Based on his experience riding two dragons, his combat power was roughly half that of a peak-level Pale Emerald Dragon Knight. Once he became a peak-level Fire Dragon Knight, his strength would surpass even that of a peak-level Pale Emerald Dragon Knight.
"Simply put, a peak-level Dragon Knight is equivalent to a Grandmaster Earth Knight in martial arts. With the method of ‘elixir enhancement’ still unclear, the only way to improve is through relentless refinement of ‘martial techniques’... Once the mind reaches perfection, the only path to greater strength is through honing the *Dragon Aura Manual*."
Liszt sighed.
But soon, he reassured himself: "Other Dragon Knights might stagnate at this stage, but I already have clues about the next phase of cultivation. With the help of the smoke missions and the effects of *Magic Eye*, finding a way to break through as a Dragon Knight shouldn’t be too difficult."
With the smoke missions—a cheat ability seemingly tied to fate—Liszt’s confidence was unshakable.
...
June arrived in the blink of an eye.
The Pale Emerald Dragon had fully recovered and could now soar through the skies with vigor. Of course, its foundation was still weak, requiring several years of recuperation to regain its peak condition.
Regardless, Liszt left the Fire Dragon Rio to sleep on Black Horse Island and headed to Dodo Bird Island. Mounting the Pale Emerald Dragon Ethan, he planned to migrate south with Acher, relocating Ethan to an unexplored new island—the large island south of the First Archipelago.
That island not only had lush vegetation but also many magic beasts, making it just adequate for Ethan’s sustenance. With Liszt occasionally supplementing its resources with potions and other supplies, the island could just about support a dragon.
This was only a temporary measure.
Once he found a suitable archipelago for founding his kingdom, Liszt would build separate dragon lairs for Ethan and Rio—or perhaps not just these two, as his old friend, the Invisible Dragon, was expected soon.
"The Invisible Dragon visits once a year. I’ve been wondering for a while now whether it’s been lured here by the smoke missions... When it arrives this time, aside from treating it to high-grade Smokegrass and roasted beef, I’ll also give it a *Milon Mind Fruit*."
The value of spatial gems far surpassed any other gem.
Most importantly, with three dragons under his command, establishing a kingdom spanning the seas would be effortless. Then, absorbing the Sapphire Duchy would be the perfect finishing touch!
Just as he was lost in grand visions, Lucy hurried downstairs: "Your Highness, the exploration fleet has sent word!"
"What news?"
"Captain Yevich reports they’ve discovered a new archipelago. They’ve already mapped three islands, which are relatively close to each other. All three are large—the biggest is the size of Coral Island, and the smallest is as big as Black Horse Island. There are also many coral reefs in the surrounding waters."
"Really?!"
Liszt shot to his feet. Composing himself, he followed Lucy upstairs.
Ruth was adjusting the arcane console as the compass emitted rhythmic magic reactions, while she recorded the messages. After some training, the magically gifted twins had become skilled operators, handling the console with a DJ’s rhythm.
"Your Highness!"
Upon seeing Liszt arrive, Ruth immediately set down her quill and bowed to him.
"No need for formalities, focus on managing the magic platform. What did Yevich say?" Lucy brought over a chair, and Liszt sat down smoothly.
"Captain Yevich's fleet has already resumed their voyage, charting the islands’ contours to search other waters, aiming to quickly determine the number and size of the new islands."
"Excellent, patch me through to Yevich."
The magic platform had now upgraded to version 3.0, with further improved functionality and significantly enhanced communication quality.
Though it still couldn’t match the convenience of natural conversation, it could now exchange messages almost like chatting. After half an hour of repeated exchanges, Liszt had a clear understanding of the new archipelago’s location—a mere 400 kilometers away from the island where the Lightgreen Gem Dragon was temporarily residing.
The position was offset to the southwest.
"The First Island Chain is 500 kilometers from the new island, and the new island is 400 kilometers from the new archipelago. This is thrilling—it seems we’ve encountered a proper archipelago! The First Island Chain is just a remote corner of the continental shelf, while the new archipelago is the real highland."
He immediately ordered Yevich to scour the new archipelago thoroughly and dispatched two other exploration fleets to head toward the new archipelago’s location, joining the exploration of this potentially promising discovery.
The magic platform communication ended.
Leaning back in his chair, Liszt leisurely sipped a cup of green tea brought in by Mrs. Mossen.
The twin sisters Lucy and Ruth asked curiously, "Your Highness, if we’ve found a new archipelago, does that mean we can establish our own country now?"
"Of course."
"Will Your Highness become king?"
"That depends. Perhaps I’ll only settle for Grand Duke, in which case our country will be called the Flame Duchy. If I acquire more dragons, then I’ll directly claim the title of king, and our country will be called the Flame Kingdom." Liszt smiled warmly. He was quite fond of the clever and adorable twins.
The two little girls were not only adorable in appearance but also talented and delightful in personality.
With the twin sisters, he gradually felt as though his own daughters were growing up—"my girls are coming of age." With Liszt’s soul already in his thirties and the twins not yet ten, the age gap indeed resembled that of a father and daughters, brimming with a father’s pride and expectations.
Recently, the twins were close to grasping foundational magic and becoming magicians.
