    Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Guided by Liszt, the invisible dragon flew at an incredible speed, hugging close to one of the maze's walls. The maze's complex twists were quickly navigated and broken through.

Behind them, the crystalline structure of the maze rapidly collapsed, replaced by a completely new maze. This maze encompassed the entire world, with no discernible rules—just countless combinations of crystalline formations. He and the invisible dragon now stood upon a throne at the center of the maze.

Though it was called a throne, it was merely a raised platform.

    "Wee-yah!"

The invisible dragon suddenly flapped its wings and soared. The layered walls of the maze swiftly receded as it flew, posing no obstacle at all.

Within this maze, the invisible dragon was in complete control.

    Suddenly.

The scenery expanded as they flew out of the maze and returned to the real world—or rather, returned victorious from the mental battle. His thoughts and the invisible dragon's began to synchronize, their minds becoming one. From this moment onward, he was truly the Sacred Dragon Knight—the Invisible Dragon Knight.

The journey had been twisting and roundabout, but the result was satisfactory.

Liszt's earlier feelings of frustration, disappointment, indignation, and envy dissipated. Through their merged consciousness, he could sense the invisible dragon's thoughts, and it, in turn, could feel his elation. They influenced and infected each other, though Liszt remained the dominant force.

His vision was no longer filled with crystalline structures, but he and the invisible dragon had yet to fully master the Dragon Eye Trajectory technique. It would take plenty of time to adapt and learn how to properly ride the invisible dragon and develop combat effectiveness.

"To Acheronides!" Liszt found that he no longer needed to use the Magic Eye to clearly see the invisible dragon. Its body remained as beautiful as flowing crystal.

It felt as though he were seated atop crystal.

    "Wee-yah!"

The invisible dragon slowly descended onto the summit of the Whirlpool Mountain, pulling in its dragon's aura. Its slender body coiled gracefully on the ground, radiating majesty.

Among the dragons Liszt had encountered, Leo was undoubtedly the most fearsome, while the invisible dragon was the most beautiful.

He also sensed the invisible dragon's lifespan—indeed, it was still a juvenile, with only eighty years of life, not yet past its first century. Its habitat was nomadic, seemingly on an island north of the Sapphire Kingdom, though its range was vast.

Back then, Flower Town had merely been a place it passed by out of curiosity. It only remembered the spot after catching the scent of Smokegrass, returning once a year for a feast. This year, however, it had developed a new ability to break through the physical plane and traverse dimensions—only to end up completely lost.

    Stranded beyond the material dimension.

    Of course.

"Beyond the material dimension" was merely a term Liszt had reconstructed from fragments of the invisible dragon's memories. Those thoughts were already hazy, making it difficult to discern the finer details. All he knew was that it had spotted the framework ship passing through the magical portal of the great whirlpool, which led it to the exit.

Thus, the earlier scene unfolded—the invisible dragon bursting out of the whirlpool's mouth, setting off this chain of unexpected events.

    With a thud.

Jumping down from the invisible dragon's back, Liszt walked toward Acheronides. "Done."

Acheronides smiled. "Congratulations, brother. You've ridden another dragon—and such a beautiful invisible dragon at that."

"Well, we're old friends after all..." Liszt kept his tone calm, though inwardly he felt a bit awkward. Was the invisible dragon really an old friend? Not exactly. Apart from two meals shared between them, there was no friendship to speak of—just a straightforward transaction.

He had arranged the Smokegrass feast with the intention of gaining an advantage, while the invisible dragon had simply left a few gemstones after eating.

    That was all.

Dragons were proud creatures and didn't make friends lightly.

The term "old friend" was just an inside joke he picked up from the book *The Travels of the Earth Ranger Griff*, nothing more.

In that knight's tale, the protagonist referred to an invisible dragon he had met once—who left behind space gems—as an "old friend." This meant that invisible dragons indeed had the habit of leaving gifts after enjoying Smokegrass. Liszt even wondered if the invisible dragon Griff encountered was the same one he now possessed.

Unfortunately, *The Travels of the Earth Ranger Griff* had no listed author, and its origins were untraceable, making it impossible to determine when it was written.

The invisible dragon, likewise, had no memory of Griff or any other such name...

Right now, Liszt wasn’t embarrassed because he had appropriated Griff’s "old friend" label—it was because of the invisible dragon’s earlier behavior.

"Acheronides, why did you refuse when the invisible dragon offered you a ride earlier?"

"Brother, when did the invisible dragon ever offer me a ride? Besides, I’m a mage. I lack the mana to resonate with a dragon." Acheronides shook her head in confusion.

"Then why did you shake your head when it called out to you?"

"Because I didn’t understand what it was saying. All its calls sound identical to me. I don’t speak the language of dragons."

"I see." Liszt nodded, his embarrassment fading a bit. He had initially thought Acheronides refused out of consideration for his pride.

Turned out, she just couldn’t understand the invisible dragon.

Glancing toward the other side of the Vortex Mountain, he saw knights and serfs still busily transporting supplies. Many knights peered curiously toward the mountaintop, having heard the invisible dragon’s cries and felt its draconic presence—though they couldn’t see it and had no idea what was happening.

But with both the Dragon Knight and the Archmage standing calmly atop the peak, they figured nothing serious had occurred.

Shifting his gaze back, Liszt pointed at the invisible dragon, which was sitting on the ground, dozing with half-closed eyes. "Acheronides, can you see the invisible dragon with your naked eyes?" Having eaten too much Smokegrass, it was still enjoying the lingering buzz, slowly savoring the delightful aftertaste.

"No, I can’t." Acheronides dispelled her advanced spell, Magic Eye, and shook her head.

Yet Liszt could now see the invisible dragon with his own eyes.

Perhaps this was one of the boons of dragon-riding—their minds had become one, allowing him to perceive its true form at all times.

The how of it remained a mystery for now.

"Alright, no need to hurry. We can study the invisible dragon’s traits once I’ve fully bonded with it. For now, I’ll have Leo take you to Emberfield. You can oversee the mages there as they construct the wizard tower, while I take the invisible dragon for a flight." Liszt considered briefly before making the decision.

Having just mounted the invisible dragon, he wanted to strike while the iron was hot and thoroughly test its limits.

    He summoned Leo.

The lingering scent of Smokegrass in the air irked Leo greatly.

Even more displeasing was the sight of Liszt taming yet another dragon, challenging its position. It let out a fierce roar at the dozing invisible dragon: "Grrraaah!"

The invisible dragon, however, was easygoing and paid no mind to Leo’s aggression.

Or perhaps it was still blissed out in the bliss of Smokegrass to care.

Liszt patted Leo’s scales and explained via Dragon Heart Code that it remained his trusted battle companion, while the invisible dragon and the Lightgreen Gem Dragon were more like resource-producing assets.

Only then did Leo calm down.

Once Acheronides climbed onto its back, Leo spread its wings and soared toward distant Emberfield.

"In the future, when building dragon dens, I’ll have to keep these three dragons separated—preferably out of each other’s sight."

Liszt exhaled in relief. Managing multiple dragons was no easy feat, but the pride and sense of accomplishment were immense. He wondered if any dragon knight in the Legendary Continent had ever attempted this. With three dragons already under his command—and leads on the Smoke Dragon and Jade Dragon—he might just be the first.

"First in history, last in history?"

The thought flickered briefly before he mounted the invisible dragon once more. Their minds instantly synchronized, their mana resonating in perfect harmony as they entered dragon-riding mode.

    "Fly, invisible dragon!"
