Chapter 0459: The Ancient City of Martial Arts
byChapter 0459: The Ancient City of Martial Arts
The woman carried Qin Yun for quite a distance, but they were still within the Yunlong Mountain Range.
What frustrated him was that no matter what he asked, the woman simply refused to answer.
She kept holding onto Qin Yun, flying in endless circles above the Yunlong Mountain Range, and he had no idea what she was trying to do.
"Hey, fairy sis, are we just joyriding here?" Qin Yun said helplessly. "Circling here, I’m sick of the same view below!"
He really didn’t want to call her a fairy. Although she was as beautiful as one, she seemed a bit off. She had been flying him around in the sky, circling the same spot for half a day without end.
"One more word, and I’ll drop you!" the woman snapped coldly.
"Then drop me!" Qin Yun retorted.
As promised, she dropped him.
Qin Yun was overjoyed and immediately started running using the Star Profound Steps, but he hadn’t gone far before the woman caught him again.
"You rascal!" the woman shouted, raising her hand as if to slap him, but she stopped herself. It was unclear why she was so angry.
Her eyes, filled with hatred, showed complex emotions, and they even seemed to glisten with moisture.
Qin Yun silently cursed that so-called Martial King, certain that he must have deeply hurt this woman. But he was Qin Yun, not that Martial King, and he wasn’t going to take the blame for it.
The woman glanced at the setting Nine Suns in the distance and said, "I’ll leave when it gets dark."
She brought Qin Yun to a high mountain peak, where they watched the melancholic and intoxicating sunset. Her eyes seemed lost in memories, and a trace of tenderness appeared in her expression.
"You’re Qin Yun, right?" the woman asked, her voice no longer as icy.
"Yeah, fairy sis. And you?" Qin Yun inquired.
"Bing Xing," she replied, then looked into Qin Yun’s eyes and asked seriously, "Do you really not remember me?"
Qin Yun’s heart skipped a beat, confirming his suspicion—that damned Celestial King from his past life must have known this woman.
"Bing Xing sis… I’m lost here."
Bing Xing closed her eyes and sighed softly. "Maybe it’s better you don’t remember."
Bing Xing sis, can you get me out of the Yunlong Mountain Range later?" Qin Yun whispered.
Bing Xing didn’t answer Qin Yun. Instead, she gazed at the darkening sky until stars began to appear. Her frown slowly eased, and a gentle smile appeared on her cold yet beautiful face.
"Fine," she said, grabbing Qin Yun and taking to the air. "Which direction should we go?"
Qin Yun smiled to himself and pointed in a direction.
Bing Xing immediately flew swiftly in that direction.
"Bing Xing sis, I found a pill. What kind of pill is it?" Qin Yun asked curiously.
"That wasn’t left by me, and I don’t know. Can I see it?" Bing Xing’s voice remained cold.
Qin Yun handed her the jade bottle.
Bing Xing opened it and sniffed. "It’s an expired Nine Yuan Immortal Pill. It’s infused with Nine Sun energy and can rapidly restore your Nine Yuan power. Even expired, it’s still a big help for you."
She returned the Immortal Pill to Qin Yun.
Qin Yun frowned in disappointment; it turned out to be an expired Immortal Pill!
Soon, she led Qin Yun out of the Yunlong Mountain Range.
Qin Yun looked down at the Yunlong Mountain Range from the sky, the towering mountains bathed in starlight, and he was filled with awe. From this journey, he could confirm that Xie Qirou was not in that Celestial Tomb.
Instead, a formidable Immortal Maiden had been released from that tomb.
"After I was released, the Celestial Emperor surely knows! Soon, people from Linghuang will come and surely find out who released me. Be on your guard!" Bing Xing placed Qin Yun on the ground, looking at him with complex emotions.
Qin Yun really wanted to know how that Celestial King had wronged Bing Xing, making her so heartbroken.
Bing Xing gazed at Qin Yun with a complicated expression, then extended her smooth hand, gently caressing his cheek. Her hand was warm and tender.
Qin Yun felt a stir in his heart, but he was also a bit frightened, worried that Bing Xing might lose her mind due to emotions and kill him in a fit of emotion.
"Goodbye!" A faint white light suddenly emanated from Bing Xing's body, her white dress fluttering in the wind, exuding a cold, starry aura, as ethereal as an immortal, incredibly beautiful.
She looked up at the dazzling starry sky, rose into the sky, and flew toward the heavens like a shining white meteor!
"Sigh..." Qin Yun originally wanted to ask some questions, but Bing Xing had already gone far away.
"Goodbye?" he murmured, "Where is she going? Do I resemble that Celestial King, or do I have a Celestial King's past life?"
He sighed helplessly. No matter what, he was cursing that Celestial King in his heart for leaving him with a tangled web of romantic entanglements.
Thinking of Bing Xing's expression when she left, Qin Yun felt a strange sadness. He shook his head and rushed toward the Nine Extremes Mystic Gate!
...
After more than ten days of traveling, Qin Yun finally returned to the Nine Extremes Mystic Gate!
Wei Zhongzheng was relieved to see Qin Yun back safely. He had heard that there was an extraordinary cousin by Zi Qingcheng's side and had guessed it was Qin Yun.
Wei Zhongzheng, dressed in a fiery red robe, was practicing his sword skills in the courtyard and laughed, "Xiao Yun, how was the journey to the Celestial Tomb Wasteland? Did you make it there?"
As soon as Qin Yun returned, he went to Wei Zhongzheng's small residence. He sat on the stone chair in the pavilion and said in a low voice, "Except for Hong Yingwu King, the other Martial Kings probably won't return."
Wei Zhongzheng, who had been smiling, suddenly looked shocked, "Then how did you come back?"
"It's complicated!" Qin Yun also wanted to know where Wu Mingxu and the others were now.
He quickly sent a pigeon to deliver a message to the Moon Mystic Valley.
Afterward, Wei Zhongzheng roughly understood what had happened inside.
"It seems the rumors from a few days ago were true! Suddenly, several groups of very powerful people arrived here through a teleportation array. It's said that these people are very strong, but they were badly wounded and are lying low in various King-level sects!" Wei Zhongzheng frowned.
"Did they come from Linghuang?" Qin Yun remembered what Bing Xing had said.
Wei Zhongzheng nodded, "Probably! They came from Linghuang, and it was very arduous, so they were all injured... As for how strong these guys are, I can't be sure yet, but there must be Martial Kings among them!"
"Wuhuang has a strange force that limits powerful warriors, so they couldn't send people with extremely high cultivation here."
Qin Yun also found it strange. Bing Xing's strength should be formidable, but she could move around freely in Wuhuang... He suddenly understood why Bing Xing was in such a hurry to leave. She might have been worried about being attacked by Wuhuang's power.
Elder Two hurried in, holding a letter in his hand, and handed it to Wei Zhongzheng, saying, "Sect Master, this letter is from the Qiweng Hall!"
Wei Zhongzheng took it, opened it, and with a hint of surprise, frowned, "The Ancient Martial City has opened!"
Elder Two exclaimed in surprise, "Are they here to invite our disciples to the Ancient Martial City?"
"Yes, this is an invitation! It invites all Martial Realm disciples from our Nine Profound Sect to the Ancient Martial City!" Wei Zhongzheng looked at Qin Yun and said, "Xiao Yun, you can go alone!"
"Ancient Martial City? What’s that?" Qin Yun asked in surprise.
Wei Zhongzheng explained, "It’s a very ancient city, always guarded by the Qiweng Hall at its entrance, barring entry to anyone!"
"This city was not built by the Qiweng Hall. It’s said to have descended from the sky long ago, and it’s enormous! Only Martial Warriors can enter, which is why it’s called the Ancient Martial City!"
Qin Yun thought for a moment and asked, "Could this be connected to the people from Linghuang?"
"It’s very likely connected! After the Ancient Martial City opens, it will gather powerful Martial Realm warriors from the three wastelands! They might be seeking out some exceptional Martial Realm disciples!"
"If I’m not mistaken, they’re probably planning to enter the Ancient Garden again!"
Qin Yun was now certain that in the Ancient Garden of the Demon Path, there must be a Yang Spirit!
He had already obtained one Yang Spirit, though he didn’t yet know its purpose, but something that even immortals and gods are seeking must be extraordinary.
He thought to himself, if he could obtain another Yang Spirit, he would be secretly thrilled. Such a treasure—no one would ever have enough of it!
"Alright, I’ll go!" Qin Yun nodded.
"Go back and rest first; then I’ll take you to the Ancient Martial City!" Wei Zhongzheng smiled.
In the medicine garden, Lan Fengjin, Yuan Yanying, and Feng Honglan were all busy with various tasks. They were thrilled to see Qin Yun return and gathered around him, bombarding him with questions.
Qin Yun originally planned to take them to the Ancient Martial City, but they weren’t interested.
...
After resting for a day, Qin Yun followed Wei Zhongzheng as they flew toward the Ancient Martial City.
He thought he might see Xie Wufeng there. After all, the Ancient Martial City would gather Martial Warriors from the three wastelands.
Xie Wufeng, as a rare sword cultivator, was very likely to appear!
On the way, he also asked Wei Zhongzheng to look into the matter of Wu Mingxu, to contact Mu Fengxiao and Old Lady Du, and inquire about Wu Mingxu.
Wei Zhongzheng also talked about the various wonders of the Ancient Martial City, a city with strong defenses, where only Martial Warriors could enter, and those of other realms were barred.
Inside, there were many places where Martial Warriors could cultivate and improve in various aspects.
This was originally a sacred land for Martial Warriors, but it had always been guarded at the gates by the Qiweng Hall, not allowing other Martial Warriors to enter.
Now, the Qiweng Hall has finally opened up the Ancient Martial City!
Wei Zhongzheng took Qin Yun, flew for about ten days, and arrived at a grassland in the eastern part of Wuhuang, where the Ancient Martial City was located.
He left after dropping Qin Yun off outside the Ancient Martial City.
The Ancient Martial City was indeed massive, with walls stretching endlessly on both sides.
As you approached, you could feel the city’s powerful array force.
Qin Yun had billions of purple crystal coins, and he figured he was likely the wealthiest among the Martial Warriors.
Plus, as a Martial Realm 3rd Layer cultivator, he was unlikely to face any setbacks.
He walked through the ancient bronze city gate and stepped into the city, where he saw many people dressed in luxurious clothes. These Martial Warriors hailed from various clans and sects across the three wastelands.
As soon as he entered, Qin Yun overheard people discussing something called the Moonlit Seven Beauties, saying the Moon Profound Valley had sent seven stunning Martial Realm female disciples!
"Could Yuelan and Teacher Yang have come too?" Curious, Qin Yun quickly went to inquire about where the Moonlit Seven Beauties were staying.
