Chapter 0758: The Mighty Dragon Villa
byChapter 0758: Majestic Dragon Manor
Yue You and Yang Shiyue were twin sisters in their past lives. Even though Yang Shiyue reincarnated, their sisterly bond remained strong.
Because of this, Yue You did not deal harshly with Qin Yun after he entered the Nethermoon Wastelands.
"Bingxing, how is your relationship with Yue You?" Qin Yun asked.
"Pretty good," Bingxing replied.
"What about Xiao Xuanqin? In her past life, she was called Yueqin," Qin Yun added.
"As long as they're from the Moon Palace, we all get along quite well," Bingxing said. "Why the sudden interest?"
Qin Yun was puzzled and asked, "Why did my past life get entangled with your Moon Palace? Was it just a coincidence?"
Bingxing snorted coldly. "Because the disciples from the Moon Palace are all outstanding, backed by powerful factions and families, and carry all sorts of treasures. Everyone wants to target us!"
"That makes sense," Qin Yun laughed. "And you're all very beautiful too!"
Bingxing glared at him and said coldly, "Shouldn’t you be heading to the Sword Immortal Pavilion by now?"
"Of course I am. I’ll also go find that little girl Jingmeng and play around with her," Qin Yun chuckled.
"She’s meditating in isolation! She’s cultivating her mental energy in the Divine Armament Illusion Realm," Bingxing said.
Qin Yun really wanted to visit the adorable and innocent Liu Jingmeng, but now he had to drop the idea.
Bingxing continued, "Shiyue said she gave you the Star Monarch Rune Soul. Have you merged with it?"
Qin Yun quickly nodded. "I have!"
"Multiple factions are keeping tabs on her now. You must power up fast so she won’t be bullied," Bingxing urged.
"I definitely will!" Qin Yun’s expression turned serious.
Although Yang Shiyue was somewhat safe on the Phantomoon Isle, it was only temporary.
After all, everyone still believed the Star Monarch Rune Soul was in her possession.
Moreover, Yang Shiyue also held the Moon’s Origin, another extremely precious treasure.
...
Qin Yun slipped away from the Divine Weapon Palace, heading toward Sword City, where the Sword Immortal Pavilion was located.
After the Sword Immortal Pavilion was attacked by a powerful demonic sect from the Dark Demon Domain, they expanded Sword Island significantly, building it with dual tiers.
Since the Sword Immortal Pavilion aimed to gather all members of the Sword Family from the Spiritwild Mortal Realm, it had to be large.
Only the unity between the Sword and Dragon Clans could achieve such a grand scale.
And it seemed the Dragon Family had also become aware of the Sword Family’s plots.
As Qin Yun exited the gates of the Divine Weapon City, he spotted a black-clad, masked rider on a mighty stallion in the distance.
"This energy... seems familiar," Qin Yun muttered, sensing a faint but familiar surge of power.
"It’s Long Qiaofeng!" Qin Yun’s heart raced with excitement.
Qin Yun had a fake beard glued to his face, with long hair covering half of it—some strands streaked with hints of white. Dressed in coarse gray robes and hiding all traces of his aura, he was nearly unrecognizable as Qin Yun.
As he passed by Long Qiaofeng, she didn’t recognize him either.
"Qiaofeng!" Qin Yun sent a voice transmission. "It’s me, Qin Yun!"
Long Qiaofeng, clad in black robes and wearing a mask while riding a powerful warhorse, tensed briefly and whispered, "Get on!"
Qin Yun leaped lightly onto the horse, settling behind her.
"Hold me tight!" Long Qiaofeng murmured.
Qin Yun wrapped his arms around her slender waist and chuckled, "All set. Move out!"
Long Qiaofeng dug her heels into the horse, riding hard away from the Immortal Armory City—not toward Sword Island.
"Qiaofeng, were you waiting for me outside the city?" Qin Yun asked.
"Yes," she replied. "I expected you’d return around this time, so I came to wait."
"A woman’s sixth sense is scary good," Qin Yun laughed.
He hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, taking in her intoxicating scent.
Long Qiaofeng said, "I was clinging to a slim hope, but you actually came back! Qin Yun, I’m taking you to the Dragon’s Might Villa of the Long family."
"Why go to the Long family?" Qin Yun frowned.
"The strong from the Long family of Ao Xing Province have all left to attend the Sword Martial Conference," she explained. "The Long family is at their peak now, so they’re arrogant—they think no one would dare raid them."
"Qiaofeng, are you taking me to clean out the Long family?" Qin Yun’s excitement flared.
"Don’t jump the gun. Didn’t you say you wanted to capture a dragon?" she shot back.
Qin Yun grew concerned. "Won’t they suspect you?"
"I’ve already planned my escape," Long Qiaofeng said. "I intend to take shelter with the Fire Moon City."
Fire Moon City was another moon-aligned sect, primarily composed of women.
"Go to the Demon Moon Island instead! I can get you in," Qin Yun suggested, his hand resting on her abdomen, feeling she’d refined a Dao Mystic Pill—she was now a Martial Lord of the Xuanwu Realm (a mid-tier cultivation realm).
It seemed the starfall from the Netherlunar Range had benefited many.
"I originally planned to go to Demon Moon Island. Yuelan received me and suggested Fire Moon City would be better, then helped me contact them. On the surface, Fire Moon City and Demon Moon Island are at odds, but secretly, they’re allies," Long Qiaofeng explained.
Qin Yun had previously discussed Long Qiaofeng’s situation with Xiao Yuelan, so this arrangement didn’t surprise him.
[Meanwhile, at the Dragon’s Might Villa...]
The Dragon’s Might Villa wasn’t located within a city but carved into a mountain range where entire mountains were leveled to create a vast plateau for construction. The surrounding mountains were used for array formations.
Qin Yun and Long Qiaofeng picked their way through the forest within the Dragon’s Might Mountain Range.
In the distance, Qin Yun spotted an intense concentration of Nine Sun spiritual qi swirling ahead.
"There’s a massive array formation up there!" Qin Yun breathed in amazement.
"Hmm, that's where the Long family is!" Long Qiaofeng nodded.
"Qiaofeng, how did you cultivate to the Emperor Wu Realm?" Qin Yun asked. "You've improved so fast! I'm still only at the peak of the Spirit Martial Realm!"
"You still haven't broken through?" Long Qiaofeng was somewhat surprised.
"I wasted a few years. Getting out of the Dark Moon Wilds wasn't easy!" Qin Yun sighed.
"The Dark Moon Mountain Range is now called the Stellar Cloud Holy Land. Stars keep falling there—no one knows why—but it's produced a lot of resources. I was lucky enough to get quite a few things there, which helped me break through!" Long Qiaofeng said.
"I thought the Long family had heavily nurtured you!" Qin Yun remarked.
"Nonsense! They’re not that kind-hearted! You don’t know—they’ve been eyeing me, wanting to take my Phoenix martial soul and give it to some other genius!" Long Qiaofeng’s face darkened with anger as she spoke.
At that moment, they were blocked by a barrier.
Qin Yun tested it and found that his Piercing Mystic Art could pass through, so he took Long Qiaofeng with him to penetrate the barrier.
Ahead, there were still several towering mountains.
Since they were near the Mighty Dragon Villa, they didn’t dare to fly and could only proceed cautiously on foot.
"Qin Yun, with your Demon Star Overlord, you should be able to resist Emperor Wu and Martial Kings, right?" Long Qiaofeng suddenly asked.
"Well... my Demon Star Overlord is asleep right now!" Qin Yun said.
Hearing this, Long Qiaofeng immediately pulled Qin Yun back.
"Qiaofeng, what’s wrong?" Qin Yun asked urgently.
"Without the Demon Star Overlord, you’re defenseless!" Long Qiaofeng snapped. "Why didn’t you say so earlier? The Mighty Dragon Villa may not have any Half-Immortals, but there are still Emperor Wu and Martial Kings inside!"
Qin Yun chuckled. "Relax! Let’s just sneak in and scout first!"
Long Qiaofeng was dead set against it and refused to let Qin Yun take the risk.
"We’ve come all this way—I can’t just turn back now!" Qin Yun said.
"No, it’s too dangerous. You barely escaped the Dark Moon Wilds—what if you get caught?" Long Qiaofeng clutched tightly to Qin Yun’s arm, refusing to let him go.
Qin Yun thought for a moment and said, "Qiaofeng, I’ve refined some Mystic Runes that can summon many meteorites—maybe even stars! If things go wrong, I’ll use them to cause chaos and escape!"
"Really?" Long Qiaofeng recalled the Dark Moon Mountain Range, where she had witnessed falling stars—something truly terrifying.
"Of course it’s true!" Qin Yun chuckled darkly.
"How about this—I’ll scout ahead and see how many Martial Kings and Emperor Wu the Long family has left behind," Long Qiaofeng suggested after a pause, believing this would be safer.
"Alright, I’ll wait here for you," Qin Yun said, taking out a necklace and handing it to her. "This is a voice-transmission necklace. Wear it around your neck and channel your mental energy into it to contact me!"
The necklace was finely crafted, made by Qin Yun in the Dark Moon Wilds with Yao Fang’s assistance.
Long Qiaofeng quickly took it and put it on—it was a very precious artifact.
After all, most people only used voice-transmission conches, which were clunky and ugly.
Qin Yun had managed to carve delicate astral carvings onto the tiny necklace, allowing it to be so compact.
Long Qiaofeng ordered Qin Yun to stay put and wait for her return, then dashed toward the Mighty Dragon Villa.
Qin Yun certainly wouldn't listen to Long Qiaofeng. After seeing her walk away, he made himself invisible and followed her.
After crossing several mountains, Qin Yun stood atop a peak and saw the massive Weilong Mountain Villa, which loomed like a massive fortress-city.
The villa was surrounded by layers upon layers of towering mountains, where powerful Rune Masters had laid down formations, creating an extremely strong defensive array.
"I wonder if celestial strikes could break through this formation!" Qin Yun could now sense more clearly the formidable defenses of Weilong Mountain Villa.
Long Qiaofeng entered the villa.
Qin Yun followed cautiously behind, unnoticed by her.
Long Qiaofeng removed her mask, revealing her icy but striking features.
Within the Long family, she lived under constant threat, so she never cracked a smile.
She walked along a broad avenue toward the center of the villa.
Many people passed by along the way, but barely anyone acknowledged her, a clear sign of her low status.
By evening, she arrived at a large courtyard.
"Well, look who decided to show up—Miss Qiaofeng! Didn’t you go to the Sword Immortal Pavilion?" A youth spoke up, eyeing her up and down.
"I didn’t want to, so I came back. I’ve been on the road all day—I need rest!"
The moment she spoke, a group of people emerged from the courtyard—swaggering youths and middle-aged men, from Spirit to Profound Martial Realm cultivators.
