Chapter 0603: Sword Divine Power
byChapter 0603: Sword God Technique
The moment Jian Nanhu drew his sword, he went straight for his most powerful attack. His sword aura erupted, accompanied by a formidable Hunyuan Dao Force, lancing toward Qin Yun!
As the sword came slicing through the air, Qin Yun could feel a sharp twinge in his left shoulder—it had already been locked onto by that overwhelming blade force.
By the time Qin Yun felt the pain in his left shoulder, the sword had found its mark!
Jian Nanhu’s strike was lightning-fast and deadly accurate!
Qin Yun's left shoulder flared with pain, and even his formidable Sky Lion Mystic Body was pierced.
However, Jian Nanhu only managed to sink the sword tip in—it couldn’t fully pierce through Qin Yun’s shoulder.
That was because Qin Yun’s Profound Body, along with his bones and marrow essence, was exceptionally tough. The sword tip struck bone and was blocked.
Jian Nanhu was stunned beyond belief!
He had never encountered such a situation before—being able to pierce flesh but failing to break through bone.
As a veteran of countless battles, he had faced opponents with Mystic Bodies before.
Yet, none could withstand his terrifying sword. Even those clad in magical armor would be run straight through.
But now, this masked man from Immortal Soldier City had actually blocked his strike with bone!
Ling Yuner abruptly released an immense gravitational force.
In the midst of his astonishment, Jian Nanhu was slammed down by crushing gravity, his knees buckling.
Capitalizing on the opening, Qin Yun swiftly struck the sword aside with a palm, then stepped forward and delivered several punches to Jian Nanhu’s sword-wielding arm. Finally, he jabbed two fingers viciously into the opponent’s shoulder socket.
"Ah!" Jian Nanhu howled in agony, his sword arm trembling violently.
With the pressure still in effect, Qin Yun immediately followed up with a punch aimed at Jian Nanhu’s face.
BOOM!
The fist erupted with a thunderous explosion of force, catapulting Jian Nanhu backward. The impact sent him flying into a tree with a CRACK!, snapping it in half.
"Hurry, keep attacking!" Ling Yuner shouted.
By the time Qin Yun chased after him, Jian Nanhu had already kicked back to his feet, his body erupting with sword momentum.
"Sword Storms Heaven and Earth!"
Somehow, after Jian Nanhu roared, a terrifying sword energy suddenly descended.
Unlike before, this time a tempest of blades came crashing down.
The countless swords fell chaotically, whirling around Qin Yun in deadly arcs.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
The sword energy lashed out violently, slicing Qin Yun’s body, leaving him riddled with bleeding wounds.
The sword energy cut through his flesh, and his upper body was soon carved with gruesome injuries!
If it weren’t for his bones blocking the strike, he would have been shattered into pieces just now.
“This guy used a divine ability!” Ling Yuner said. “Xiao Yun, you use it too!”
Qin Yun quickly activated his Earthquake Divine Ability.
The tremor force surged from within his bones, but as it was about to leave his body, Qin Yun held it back.
He only released the power of the Earthquake Divine Ability and directed that divine ability into his arms instead of letting it flow into the ground.
At the same time, Jian Nanhu darted forward, driving his sword at Qin Yun.
This time, Qin Yun was prepared. He threw a punch, unleashing a concussive force!
As his fist shot forward, the sword tip stopped right before it, a hair’s breadth from skewering his fist.
Jian Nanhu hadn’t expected Qin Yun’s punch to be so terrifying—it directly dispersed all the Dao Energy he had gathered in his sword, even nearly dislodging the Sword Spirit within.
After this failed attack, Jian Nanhu leapt back, having already experienced the horror of that super gravity.
Just as he flipped back dozens of meters and landed on the ground, several black roots suddenly burst from the earth.
Those black roots, like shadowy talons, snared Jian Nanhu’s legs.
At the same time, Qin Yun closed the distance.
Ling Yuner unleashed another wave of super gravity, crushing Jian Nanhu under its weight.
Jian Nanhu let out a howl of agony!
Then, Qin Yun unleashed the held-back Earthquake Divine Ability, delivering an earth-shaking strike to Jian Nanhu’s arm.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
After several consecutive punches, Jian Nanhu’s sword was sent flying.
As the longsword clattered to the ground, a wisp of black energy emerged—the Sword Spirit.
Once the Sword Spirit merged back into Jian Nanhu’s body, the sword itself suddenly vanished into him.
Qin Yun then delivered a barrage of punches, hurling Jian Nanhu a hundred meters away.
Jian Nanhu was hurled over a hundred meters, crashing through several large trees.
Qin Yun gave chase without pause, landing another punch that sent Jian Nanhu flying like a ragdoll.
He didn’t inflict serious injuries, merely knocking his opponent away—a surprisingly friendly approach.
Jian Nanhu was seething with helpless rage, unable to counterattack because every time he released his Dao Energy, Qin Yun would disperse it.
Qin Yun’s mission was simply to prevent anyone from approaching Liu Jingmeng.
Jian Nanhu was relentlessly chased and beaten by Qin Yun, driven tens of thousands of meters away into a mountain range.
He wasn’t weak—it was just that Qin Yun’s power was so uncanny and savage.
But what shocked Jian Nanhu the most was Qin Yun’s monstrously tough physique.
Jian Nanhu inwardly scolded himself for underestimating his opponent, otherwise he wouldn’t have been beaten so badly.
He had known beforehand that the Immortal Armament City harbored many unknown monsters, and now he had finally witnessed it firsthand.
Yet, he was unwilling to accept defeat, as he believed his strength was still formidable—he had simply underestimated his foe and failed to display his full power.
"I yield!" Jian Nanhu barked. "I’ll leave the Phantom Grass Demon Woods now!"
"I didn’t seriously injure you, did I?" Qin Yun asked.
"Mark my words! I’ll definitely come to the Immortal Armament City to find you, and when I do, I’ll defeat you for sure! By the way, what’s your name?" Jian Nanhu was a wreck, his hair a mess and his face covered in bruises.
Of course, Qin Yun wasn’t much better off, with lacerations crisscrossing his body.
"I’ve been told not to give out my name," Qin Yun said.
"Fine. I’ll find a way to track you down and challenge you again. Next time, victory’s mine!" Despite his loss, Jian Nanhu spoke with undiminished arrogance.
"Until then," Qin Yun smirked.
Jian Nanhu picked up his sword and quickly left.
After taking a deep breath, Qin Yun felt the Mingyang Dao Core thrummed abruptly inside him.
His Mingyang Dao Core was now encased in inky tendrils.
At the same time, Qin Yun used the Tree Totem to absorb the forest’s life energy, mending his wounds in moments.
"Qin Yun? Did you win?" Granny Ma said. "I wasn’t paying much attention to your side earlier because Jingmeng found the Mystic Mushroom Beast—she’s close to subduing it!"
"I won. He was a Sword Immortal Pavilion disciple," Qin Yun replied.
"Are you hurt?" Granny Ma asked again.
"Just scratches. No big deal!" Qin Yun’s wounds weren’t severe.
"What about the Sword Immortal Pavilion disciple?" Granny Ma seemed worried that Qin Yun might have captured him.
"He left!" Qin Yun answered, then asked curiously, "Has Jingmeng tamed the Mystic Mushroom Beast yet?"
"Almost!" Granny Ma said. "Go find her now. We’ve taken care of the other sect disciples nearby!"
Qin Yun blinked in surprise. Holding the Voice-Shell, he asked, "Granny Ma, did all our early Spirit Martial realm fighters win?"
"In your dreams!" Granny Ma huffed.
"Of course! The early-stage warriors I selected are all elite!" Granny Ma declared proudly.
"How do the other seniors stack up against Hua Xiyue?" Qin Yun was curious, as this would give him a clearer understanding of the Dharma Protector Hall’s power.
"Hua Xiyue’s capable, but compared to you ten, he’s still a bit lacking! Qin Yun, apart from you, the other nine are the strongest early-stage warriors in our Dharma Protector Hall," Granny Ma said. "Of course, you’re a freak of nature—you never underwent our training yet still match their strength. That’s truly rare!"
"Then can you give us one more Yuanling Mystic Pill?" Qin Yun laughed as he rushed toward Liu Jingmeng’s location.
"No chance!" Granny Ma snorted.
"Granny Ma, I’ve successfully fused with the Flamefury Rune Soul. The fire-attribute runes I carve are top-tier. If you ever need such runes carved, you can come to me—name your price!"
"Oh, and I’ve also mastered the Golden Ape Totem, Dragon-Tiger Totem, Thunder Totem, and Fire Totem. If you need any of these totem patterns carved, I’m your guy—rates are flexible!" Qin Yun grinned.
His Fire Totem was taken from Liu Chongsheng when he defeated him.
Granny Ma was stunned, realizing she'd underestimated Qin Yun once again.
"How'd you get these totems?" Granny Ma took a deep breath and asked.
"I defeated others, and the totems just transferred to me!" Qin Yun chuckled.
"Qin Yun, what exactly is your purpose for joining our Celestial Armory City?" Granny Ma's serious tone came through the voice-transmitting conch.
"To strengthen my abilities—what other purpose could there be?" Qin Yun felt uneasy, sensing Granny Ma suspected hidden motives.
"Qin Yun, I warn you—don’t pull any stunts in our Celestial Armory City, or I won’t let you off!" Granny Ma's voice carried a stern warning.
To her, a guy with your skills must have some powerful folks behind him, which made her suspect his reasons for entering the city.
Qin Yun did have another purpose—to seek the Immortal Essence.
But he had no intention of damaging it; he only wanted to refine his immortal body through it.
Before long, Qin Yun caught sight of Liu Jingmeng.
Liu Jingmeng was cradling a cream-colored piglet with a white mushroom growing on its head, etched with strange markings.
The timid little piglet shrank into Liu Jingmeng's arms.
Granny Ma soon arrived, bringing out the small boat to ferry their disciples back to the Celestial Armory Palace.
Qin Yun also received a Yuanling Mystic Pill!
...
Back in the outer sector of the Celestial Armory Palace, Qin Yun returned to his residence and entered his room.
"Finally back!"
He popped the Yuanling Mystic Pill, lay on his bed, and entered the Celestial Armory's Illusion Realm.
Within the illusion realm, he found himself amidst barren mountain wastes.
The moment he arrived, he sensed a ridiculously strong energy.
"A Corps is coming—perfect!"
Qin Yun grinned to himself, knowing this meant a ton of points.
However, what he saw was figures clad in black riding majestic golden tigers!
These masked figures wore featureless masks, not even revealing their eyes. The instant they appeared, they swiftly drew longbows, crossbows, or cannons and let loose a barrage of attacks from afar.
A storm of arrows, bolts, and cannon fire filled the air.
Qin Yun had just spotted them before he was wiped out instantly.
He had encountered the baddest Corps around—the BlackClad Corps!
