Chapter 0755: The Space-Time Passage
byChapter 0755: The Space-Time Channel
After obtaining the Soul Sacred Blade, Qin Yun immediately shared the good news with Yao Fang.
Upon hearing this, Yao Fang quickly emerged from the Nine Sun Spirit Pouch.
Seeing her come out, Qin Yun handed the Soul Sacred Blade to Yao Fang.
Yao Fang examined it carefully and said, "No wonder it's such a legendary weapon! Back then, the Demon Immortal Emperor almost got himself killed just to damage the Soul Sacred Blade. Even in its severely damaged state, it still outclasses most weapons!"
"Qin Yun, with the Nine Sun Spirit Pouch, you should be able to repair it quickly!"
Qin Yun smiled and asked, "How much stronger is this damaged Soul Sacred Blade compared to those Royal Artifacts?"
Yao Fang returned the blade to Qin Yun and replied, "I'm not sure about that. You’ll have to compare them yourself if you get the chance."
She glanced around and continued, "Because it was damaged, the Soul Sacred Blade was banished to this realm along with the Netherworld Emperor. According to the Demon Immortal Emperor’s memories, the Netherworld Emperor was ganged up on and killed!"
"Could it be that the Netherworld Emperor isn’t dead?" Qin Yun was slightly startled and immediately tightened his grip on the Soul Sacred Blade.
"Test whether the blade’s blood-recognition ritual still works. If it does, then the Netherworld Emperor must still be alive, and you won’t be able to make it yours," Yao Fang said.
Qin Yun quickly dripped his blood onto the Soul Sacred Blade, but there was no reaction whatsoever.
"The Netherworld Emperor is still alive!" Yao Fang’s expression turned grave. "But if he’s alive, where could he be?"
"If the Soul Sacred Blade doesn’t recognize me as its master, does that mean I can’t use its special abilities?"
Qin Yun tried pouring his energy into the blade, and while it flowed smoothly, he felt something was missing.
"Exactly! But for now, you can still use it. Despite the cracks on its surface, it was once a top-tier sacred weapon!"
Yao Fang patted Qin Yun’s shoulder and then returned to the Nine Sun Spirit Pouch.
Qin Yun wasn't too bothered. After all, obtaining the Soul Sacred Blade was already a lucky find.
Even if he couldn’t fully claim it, being able to use it temporarily was good enough.
Just as Yao Fang had just returned to the Nine Sun Spirit Pouch, Qin Yun felt the Soul Sacred Blade give a faint pulse.
"What’s happening?" Qin Yun was startled.
"It’s the blade's spirit! The Soul Sacred Blade has a blade's spirit inside!" Ling Yuner said. "But the spirit can’t communicate with you directly. Let me talk to it..."
As a Dao Spirit, Ling Yuner was capable of interacting with various spiritual entities.
After a while, she gasped in surprise, "Xiao Yun, the Netherworld Emperor isn’t dead! At least his spirit survives!"
Qin Yun frowned. "Really? Then where is he?"
Ling Yuner replied, "The blade's spirit doesn’t know either, because the Netherworld Emperor isn’t in the Dark Moon Abyss! Once you reach Spirit Wastelands, I’ll ask the blade's spirit again. Perhaps the Netherworld Emperor is there!"
"Alright!" Qin Yun thought that the Netherworld Emperor might be on his side, given that he was at odds with both the Demon Immortal Emperor and the Celestial Desolation Emperor.
If he could find the Netherworld Emperor, it would mean gaining a major backer in the future.
Ling Yuner said cheerfully, "Xiao Yun, the blade's spirit knows how to leave the Dark Moon Barrens! It can show you the way out!"
After further communication with the blade's spirit, Ling Yuner soon learned the path to exit.
Under the guidance of the artifact spirit, Qin Yun left the deep pit and sped through the air in a certain direction.
According to the artifact spirit's description, getting out wouldn’t be easy, as the journey was long and full of dangers.
Qin Yun, however, was unafraid of the perils, since Yao Fang was with him.
"Xiao Yun, to leave the Nethermoon Wasteland, you must pass through a spatial tunnel! In that tunnel, Sister Yao Fang probably can’t come out, so it’s still quite dangerous!" Ling Yuner said.
"Doesn’t matter—we’ll handle it when we get there! No matter what, I must leave the Nethermoon Wasteland quickly!" Qin Yun had urgent business to attend to in the Spirit Wasteland.
Once there, he could find resources to break through faster to the Profound Martial realm.
Xie Qirou seemed to have an important task for him, but it required him to reach the Profound Martial realm first.
Following the artifact spirit’s directions, Qin Yun flew for over ten days before finally arriving at a location deep in the abyss—a huge black mud pit.
"The exit lies beneath this quagmire. Just plunge in!" Ling Yuner said. "There shouldn’t be any danger below, though the spatial tunnel itself will be difficult to traverse."
Qin Yun relayed this to Yao Fang.
Yao Fang said, "The spatial tunnel is formed by immense energy, so it’s filled with violent, chaotic forces. If you’re not strong enough, you’ll be torn apart!"
"Qin Yun, since you’ve cultivated the Immortal-Demon Physique, you should be fine. But remember—do not use any magical treasures or similar items while passing through!"
"If those trigger turbulence in the tunnel, you’ll be trapped inside!"
Qin Yun had prepared extensively, crafting many talismans, but now they were of no use.
Taking a deep breath, he leaped into the black quagmire.
The moment he submerged, he felt a powerful suction pulling him downward.
Soon, he found himself in a dazzling, multicolored tunnel, surrounded by a chaotic swirl of light.
"Xiao Yun, move fast! Time in the spatial tunnel flows unevenly—sometimes fast, sometimes slow. An hour here could mean days or even months outside!" Ling Yuner urged.
"Really?" Hearing this, Qin Yun immediately picked up speed.
After just a few steps, he encountered a huge opposing force.
The force was weird and terrifying.
For some reason, every step forward sent stabbing pain all over his body as violent energies invaded him.
He had no defense against that power!
"Xiao Yun, the forces in the spatial tunnel can’t be blocked—they cut through space and appear inside you!" Ling Yuner said. "Endure it and move quickly!"
Clenching his jaw, Qin Yun pressed onward.
With each step, the pain intensified.
Fortunately, his Immortal-Demon Physique granted him not only a formidable body but also unshakable willpower.
The pain meant nothing to him.
Pushing through the pain, Qin Yun raced through the spatial tunnel.
He had no idea how long he would have to run—only that the end of this passage would take him back to the Spirit Wasteland.
"God, this hurts!" Qin Yun's body burned as if riddled with needles with every step he took while running; every step sent fresh pain shooting through him.
Though Qin Yun had endured endless suffering while cultivating the Immortal-Demon Physique, he couldn't help but scream in agony now.
"How much farther do I have to go?" Qin Yun, running like mad, couldn't see the end and grew increasingly frustrated.
"Just a little more!" Ling Yuner said.
After running for several days, Qin Yun suddenly collided with something, and a searing light exploded in his vision.
Then, the familiar Nine Sun spiritual energy of the Spirit Wilderness reached him, making his heart soar.
"I'm finally out, hahaha..." Qin Yun looked up at the Nine Sun in the sky, thinking it looked bigger than before.
"You're way up high!" Ling Yuner said.
At that moment, the space-time force finally let go of Qin Yun.
Qin Yun went into freefall.
Injured, he couldn't muster the strength to levitate.
CRASH!
Qin Yun crashed down from the sky.
"Agh—!" Qin Yun groaned in pain.
He landed in a desolate area, but there was a hulking, spiked beast nearby—something like a crocodile but bigger and meaner.
As Qin Yun fell, his upper body smashed through several of the beast's back spikes.
The impact forced the beast to the ground, bellowing in agony.
With his Immortal-Demon Physique, Qin Yun's fall carried tremendous force.
"Now! Hit it now!" a middle-aged man shouted.
Soon, Qin Yun heard the sounds of various assaults.
"Master, don’t shoot! There’s a guy up there—he’s alive!" a youth cried.
"Forget him! Kill the beast—500,000 Purple Crystals is on the line!" another youth laughed.
BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!
Qin Yun then felt his body struck by multiple energies, mostly Xuanwu Realm martial energy.
Finally, the beast was slain, and they hauled Qin Yun down.
Qin Yun's condition was a wreck.
The beast-hunting team was completely floored.
Not only was Qin Yun alive, but his fall had snapped the beast’s spikes clean off without getting impaled.
"What the hell is this guy made of?" one of the youths muttered, eyes lit up with greed.
"His clothes are torn to such a state, how could there be any precious armor?" The woman in red said with heartache upon seeing Qin Yun's miserable condition.
Qin Yun's recovery rate was incredibly fast, and both his internal and external injuries were healing rapidly.
The woman in red wasn't particularly beautiful—her face was somewhat round, with large eyes. Though not pretty, her gaze was filled with a gentle concern that was warmly comforting.
"I'm fine now!" Qin Yun slowly stood up, though his body still ached intensely.
At this moment, Qin Yun was grime-covered, his hair disheveled, looking every bit like a beggar.
"Brother, why did you suddenly fall from the sky?" the woman in red asked softly.
"I don’t know either—I was flying one moment and falling the next! Thanks for your concern!" Qin Yun laughed it off before asking, "By the way, where is this? Which state?"
"This is the Aoxing State!" the woman in red replied.
"Oh, that’s good!" Qin Yun had been worried he might have fallen somewhere else, which could have meant spending time traveling back to the Aoxing State.
The others were busy dealing with the magical beast, leaving only the woman in red to accompany Qin Yun.
Those few people eyed Qin Yun contemptuously.
After all, Qin Yun appeared filthy, poor, and seemingly weak.
It was just strange that he hadn’t been pierced by the beast’s sharp spines when he landed on it.
As Qin Yun and the woman in red sat there resting, a sudden volley of arrows came raining down from afar!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Thousands of arrows shot over like a torrential downpour, instantly piercing through those few people.
The woman in red froze in horror and grief at the sight, for those people had been her Master and Senior Brothers.
