Chapter 0644 Guidance in Immortal Cultivation
byChapter 0644: Immortal Cultivation Guidance
Qin Yun was led by Mu Fengxiao into a secret chamber. As soon as the door opened, he was shoved inside.
Bang!
The thick stone door of the chamber slammed shut, startling Qin Yun.
Once inside, he saw two figures clad in white robes, wearing ghost-faced masks and seated in the chamber.
"Who are you people, daring to impersonate my great-aunt?" Qin Yun shouted boldly after entering.
"You brat, how dare you be so disrespectful upon seeing your great-aunt? You need to be taught a lesson!" One of the masked figures stepped forward, speaking in a deep, hoarse voice that was clearly disguised.
Qin Yun took a deep breath and tried to sense their auras but detected nothing.
"Who are you really? I, Qin Yun, have no great-aunt!"
He snorted coldly and released a surge of powerful psychic energy to probe further.
Soon, he faintly detected a familiar presence from the masked figure who had spoken earlier. The trace was weak, requiring intense spiritual effort to perceive.
The masked figure seemed to notice Qin Yun's probing and sneered, "You little devil, trying to investigate me? You're still wet behind the ears, hahaha..."
In a flash, Qin Yun dashed forward and tore off the mask, revealing a delicate, beautiful, and playfully cute face.
It was Xiao Yuemei!
Pinching her soft cheek, Qin Yun scolded with a laugh, "Great-aunt my ass! You little imp, impersonating my great-aunt? You’ve got some nerve!"
"Brother, I was wrong!" Xiao Yuemei quickly pulled away, pouting. "I just wanted to mess with you!"
"Mengshu, you can cut the act too!" Qin Yun turned to the other masked figure.
That person removed her mask, revealing a pretty face with a hint of allure—none other than the petite and graceful Hong Mengshu.
"Sister Mengshu, you should’ve let him guess!" Xiao Yuemei grumbled.
"Brother Yun, long time no see!" Hong Mengshu covered her mouth as she giggled.
Qin Yun pinched Xiao Yuemei’s cheeks and grinned. "You little troublemaker, causing trouble again, huh? Impersonating my great-aunt, of all things!"
"Brother, the messes you stir up are way bigger than mine—humiliating several great clans and two immortal sects!" Xiao Yuemei teased. "As expected of my brother, always creating world-shaking scandals!"
Qin Yun glanced at Hong Mengshu and smiled. "Mengshu, have you been following Yuemei around, running scams?"
Xiao Yuemei stuck out her tongue at him. "We haven’t been swindling anyone!"
Qin Yun wasn’t buying it. He knew all too well how skilled this little con artist was at deception—often successfully impersonating noble young misses.
But this time, she had the audacity to pose as his great-aunt. It was equal parts ridiculous and hilarious.
"Yuemei, I’ll be journeying with my father for a while. We’ll meet again if destiny wills it." Hong Mengshu smiled warmly at Qin Yun. "Seeing you doing well sets my heart at ease."
"Sister Meng Shu, I really can't bear to part with you!" Xiao Yuemei pouted, walking over and kissing Hong Mengshu's cheek.
Hong Mengshu also kissed Qin Yun's cheek and giggled, "We'll definitely meet again someday!"
"Goodbye then, Sister Meng Shu!" Xiao Yuemei gave Hong Mengshu a reluctant look as she left the stone room.
"Meng Shu, wait!" Qin Yun called out, then took out two bone talismans.
Hong Mengshu stopped and smiled, asking, "What else is there?"
Qin Yun held the two bone talismans and said, "Put a drop of blood on these! If you two get close to each other in the future, the talismans will react!"
"Wonderful!" Xiao Yuemei hurried over to drip her blood.
After completing the ritual, Hong Mengshu and Xiao Yuemei seemed less sad, as this meant the chances of them meeting again were high.
After Hong Mengshu left, Xiao Yuemei let out a gloomy sigh.
"Sister Meng Shu and I have been through so much together—it's really hard to say goodbye!" Xiao Yuemei pouted.
"By the way, I heard you chopped off the Yang Family Patriarch's head? Is that true?" Qin Yun suddenly remembered.
"Here!" Xiao Yuemei produced a large bag and handed it to Qin Yun, giggling. "Take a look!"
Qin Yun opened it and exclaimed in surprise, "How did you manage to kill this guy?"
Xiao Yuemei grinned. "That's my special talent!"
"You little rascal, tell me now!" Qin Yun gave her cheeks a playful pinch.
"It was Sister Meng Shu's father who finished him off!" Xiao Yuemei said. "Old Eagle said this was a gift for you. You helped Sister Meng Shu before, so he's grateful. Old Eagle became Emperor Wu—how crazy is that?"
"I didn’t even get to thank them in person!" Qin Yun sighed and shook his head.
Xiao Yuemei laughed. "Brother, you're living it up in the Immortal Armament City!"
"Do you want to become a disciple of the Immortal Armament City too?" Qin Yun asked with a smile, noticing Xiao Yuemei had reached the Spirit Martial Realm.
"No way! I'm going to make my own way in the world!" Xiao Yuemei declared boldly.
She took out a storage bag and said, "Brother, here—these are all the Martial Souls I've gathered!"
Xiao Yuemei had once obtained a Soul Devouring Spirit Snake, which could suck out people's Martial Souls.
Qin Yun saw a hundred-plus purple-gold spheres inside the storage bag.
"Brother, don't worry—these Martial Souls all belonged to real bad guys. I, Xiao Yuemei, am a hero of justice!" she boasted proudly.
"Yuemei, you gotta be careful when you're alone from now on. I’m really worried about you!"
Qin Yun sighed softly, looking at Xiao Yuemei with affection as he gently stroked her beautiful face.
"I know!"
Xiao Yuemei produced a small mirror and giggled. "Brother, I heard you got a Flamefury Rune Soul. Let's see if my mirror can copy Rune Souls!"
"Alright, give it a try!" Qin Yun smiled, but his smile vanished when he saw Xiao Yuemei's mirror turn black.
"Your mirror's Martial Soul... turned black?" he asked, shocked.
"Yeah, my mirror evolved on its own after copying so many Martial Spirits—it's truly amazing! Now I can use four Martial Spirits at the same time!" Xiao Yuemei said proudly.
Xiao Yuemei swiped her mirror over Qin Yun, then suddenly exclaimed, "Success! I copied your Flamefury Rune Spirit!"
Qin Yun was just as excited and pulled out his Spirit Rhinoceros Mystic Pen, grinning. "Yuemei, this also has a Rune Spirit inside. Try copying it!"
After a quick scan, Xiao Yuemei grinned triumphantly. "Done!"
"Impressive!" Qin Yun teasingly booped her cute nose.
"Brother, do you know any friends with unique Martial Spirits? Let me scan them!" Xiao Yuemei chuckled slyly.
"I do!" Qin Yun thought for a moment, planning to have her scan Liu Jingmeng's Totemic Rune Spirit.
Previously, Feng Honglan's Martial Spirit had been taken.
But since Xiao Yuemei had already scanned Feng Honglan's Martial Spirit, Qin Yun was able to recreate a new Hong Lan Martial Spirit through her mirror.
He wanted to see if he could extract Liu Jingmeng's Totemic Rune Spirit as well!
If successful, it would mean he could amass countless Rune Souls!
Just thinking about it fired him up.
With the jade token given by the Supreme Elder, Qin Yun easily brought Xiao Yuemei into the Immortal Armament Palace.
Seeing Qin Yun take away that mysterious *grand lady*, Mu Fengxiao breathed easier.
He had no idea that this *grand lady* was actually that little menace Xiao Yuemei.
Xiao Yuemei's mirror contained a massive collection of Martial Spirits—all sorts of bizarre and rare ones—making it an absolute goldmine.
Over the past few months, there had been little news about Qin Yun, gradually fading him from public memory.
But recently, the beheading of the Yang Family Patriarch put him back in everyone's mouths.
*Inside the Immortal Armament Palace*, Qin Yun stayed in his residence.
Chu Binyu was also there, feeling on edge because he, too, was wary of Qin Yun's *grand lady*. He couldn't get a read on her at all.
Even Mu Fengxiao was scared stiff of her.
Xiao Yuemei had the Yang Family Patriarch's head on her, and since neither Mu Fengxiao nor Chu Binyu could detect her cultivation, they assumed she was on par with someone like Wu Mingxu.
After bringing Xiao Yuemei back to the estate, Qin Yun removed her mask.
Chu Binyu was stunned by her delicate, beautiful face—this *grand lady* was far too young.
"Esteemed senior... how did you kill the Yang Family Patriarch?" Chu Binyu asked cautiously.
"That's not your business!" Xiao Yuemei feigned an aloof demeanor, smiling faintly. "But if you must know, it was nothing special. He was so weak, killing him was like slaughtering a chicken!"
"Senior truly is formidable! It's said the Yang Family Patriarch's body was found inside their estate. How did you get in?" Chu Binyu was deeply curious.
The Yang Family was heavily guarded, with even half-immortal experts present.
"Divine abilities—limitless and omnipotent!" Xiao Yuemei shot back haughtily. "Kid, you're still struggling on the path of cultivation, aren't you? If you wish to ascend smoothly, you should really study up on the Nine Sun!"
Chu Binyu blinked, then quickly asked, "Do tell, senior!"
Qin Yun was itching to call her out but thought better of it.
Still, he shot Xiao Yuemei an urgent look—not to take this too far.
“There are two kinds of immortals,” Xiao Yuemei declared, speaking like a seasoned master. “One is born with the Immortal Body in the Immortal Wasteland and is destined to ascend. The other is a mortal who defies heaven, cultivating martial arts and spiritual cultivation to step onto the immortal path!”
She made it all sound legit, and even Qin Yun was almost sold.
Chu Binyu nodded repeatedly, hanging on her every word.
Xiao Yuemei coughed twice and continued, “Immortal martial arts and the Dao are two sides of the same coin. For mortals seeking the Dao, the most important thing is virtue. Without virtue, you won’t ascend—those full of vice can only become demons.”
“Senior, how does one cultivate virtue?” Chu Binyu asked eagerly.
Qin Yun also listened in stunned silence; Ling Yuner had said something similar before.
He couldn’t help but look at Xiao Yuemei differently now—what she was saying might actually be true.
“What do you think? By doing good deeds and building up merit!” Xiao Yuemei laughed. “Junior, ask yourself—have you done more good or evil in your life? If you’ve been wicked, you lack virtue, won’t survive heavenly tribulation, and definitely won’t ascend.”
It clicked for Chu Binyu as he nodded furiously. “Thank you for the guidance, Senior! I owe you one!”
With that, Chu Binyu hurried off.
“You little brat,” Qin Yun muttered, pulling Xiao Yuemei into his room. “Where’d you pick up all this mumbo jumbo?”
