Chapter 0639 Driven Away Again?
byChapter 0639: Kicked Out Again?
Bao Changshou was frustrated. He acknowledged that Qin Yun was a once-in-a-lifetime talent, but this had also earned him enemies among many major powers.
Qin Yun destroyed Zhilong City to get revenge—his four Dao Artifacts had been taken by the City Lord of Zhilong City.
These were his personal beef. Normally, if disciples handled their own private matters, the Immortal Armament City wouldn’t interfere.
However, Qin Yun’s enemies were all big players.
For instance, the Zhilong City he destroyed was backed by the Medicine Immortal Valley and the Long Family.
“Qin Yun, let me level with you,” Bao Changshou said. “In the Immortal Armament City, including me, there are seven people with decision-making power. If things get too serious, we’ll hold a vote.”
“If they propose expelling you from the sect, then the seven of us will vote, and the outcome depends on the result!”
Bao Changshou said this hoping to get Qin Yun to toe the line in the future.
Chu Binyu laughed. “Qin Yun, if the Immortal Armament City doesn’t want you anymore, come back to Swordblade Manor. We have an elder in the Sword Immortal Pavilion who has reached the Semi-Immortal level!”
Bao Changshou snorted. “Old Chu, are you trying to recruit for the Sword Immortal Pavilion?”
“You Immortal Armament City is so afraid of the Medicine Immortal Valley and Canghuo Immortal Mountain, but the Sword Immortal Pavilion isn’t,” Chu Binyu smiled. “Even I don’t fear those two immortal sects. Let Qin Yun go at them full force—I’ve long disliked them!”
“Old Chu, you’re going to get Qin Yun killed! I’m telling him to behave because I care about him!” Bao Changshou sighed.
“Behave? You mean stay cooped up in the Immortal Armament Palace forever? If Qin Yun had behaved from the start, he wouldn’t be where he is today,” Chu Binyu chuckled. “When I was young, I raised hell too—but never regretted it!”
“The Manor Lord’s got a point!” Qin Yun laughed. “Great minds think alike!”
Just then, an elder hurried in and said, “Sect Leader, people from the Medicine Immortal Valley, the Long Family, and Canghuo Immortal Mountain have arrived. There are about a dozen of them, all at the Semi-Immortal level!”
“Has Long Zhi returned?” Qin Yun quickly asked.
“He’s here too!” The elder glanced at Qin Yun, clearly impressed.
Bao Changshou asked, “What do they want?”
“They’re waiting outside the Immortal Armament Palace gates,” the elder looked at Qin Yun and said, “They’re here to talk about Qin Yun!”
“Fine, let’s go meet them,” Bao Changshou said.
...
Outside the gates of the Immortal Armament Palace, a crowd had gathered for the show.
Seeing the Semi-Immortal powerhouse figures from the Long Family, Medicine Immortal Valley, and Canghuo Immortal Mountain, the spectators were buzzing with excitement.
Last time, neither the Medicine Immortal Valley nor the Canghuo Immortal Mountain had sent anyone at this level.
Now they’d come, which meant Qin Yun destroying Zhilong City had really pissed off the Medicine Immortal Valley, so they were here to settle all their grievances.
Previously, when Liu Chongsheng was killed, the Medicine Immortal Valley had been furious.
But since Liu started it and Qin Yun was under the protection of the Immortal Armament City, they bit their tongues—they didn’t have a leg to stand on.
If it came to blows, the Mystic Glyph Temple might step in.
Now, with Zhilong City destroyed and that dragon captured alive by Qin Yun, the Medicine Immortal Valley has suffered tremendous losses.
The Medicine Immortal Valley could no longer sit idly by and dispatched their Half-Immortal experts.
Upon learning of this, Canghuo Immortal Mountain also declared they were standing with the Medicine Immortal Valley against Immortal Weapon City.
The Half-Immortal experts from the Medicine Immortal Valley and Canghuo Immortal Mountain looked sharp and strong—far more formidable than those from the noble families.
"Immortal Weapon City’s Sect Leader, cut the crap! You must already know what Qin Yun did. Kick him out of your sect and run him out of this city—let us settle things with him ourselves!"
The pale, white-haired elder from the Medicine Immortal Valley spoke coldly.
"A few Half-Immortal experts want to take on Qin Yun, a nobody at the Spirit Martial level? Did you learn nothing in all those years?"
"Or is it that, aside from you Half-Immortals, everyone else in your valley is useless?" Chu Binyu mocked. "This should be handled by the younger generation themselves!"
Normally, when young people from major sects or clans clash, they handle it themselves. Elders and powerful factions rarely get involved.
The toughest Qin Yun ever fought was only a Martial King.
But now, several Half-Immortal big shots had to step in—how embarrassing.
What's even funnier is that Qin Yun is just a Spirit Martial nobody, yet these old Half-Immortals are coming after him.
Chu Binyu’s words left the three Half-Immortal elders speechless for a moment.
The real problem is that Qin Yun’s strength is terrifying. He always acts alone, and he can turn an entire city upside down all by himself.
If they let him keep living, all the big factions with grudges against him will have endless trouble with their businesses—their lifeblood.
Plus, Qin Yun’s existence has made these big shots lose face.
Bao Changshou said calmly, “Qin Yun is our disciple. His personal fights are his own—we’ve never backed him up behind the scenes.”
“But you? Your beef with Qin Yun started with your own juniors. It was your arrogant brats who started everything.”
“Those troublemakers got taken out by Qin Yun—that should’ve been the end. But here you are, one after another, picking on the weak and calling it revenge.”
Granny Ma sneered, “You’re so hell-bent on going after Qin Yun—it’s not really about revenge, is it? It’s the goodies he’s got, and how he can lead you to Yang Shiyue. That’s your real goal!”
Yang Shiyue possesses the Star Monarch Rune Soul, and many powerful factions have been hunting for her.
Now that they know Qin Yun is close to her, they’ve set their sights on him instead.
The Medicine Immortal Valley hates his guts the most, so they’ve got the best excuse to go after him.
It’s not just revenge—they want to cash in big time.
Qin Yun has a Bone Dragon, totem patterns, and rumor has it he’s packing some serious Dao Artifacts. Plus, he can draw out Yang Shiyue.
So the Medicine Immortal Valley decided to send their Half-Immortal experts to grab him.
"Shut it!" the Half-Immortal elder from the Medicine Immortal Valley snapped. "Qin Yun, hand over our dragon right now—and make sure Long Yongliang isn’t hurt!"
"No way—that thing eats people!" Qin Yun snorted. "As for Long Yongliang? Four Dao Artifacts, or no deal!"
He pointed at a man and shouted, "Long Zhigui! You swiped my four Ancient Dao Artifacts! Don’t give them back, and all you’ll get is your kid’s head!"
"Qin Yun, we’ve still got unfinished business over you killing Liu Chongsheng!" Long Zhigui bellowed.
"Hmph, Liu Chongsheng besieged us to seize our Celestial Beast remains—it was he who erred first. And you all protected him! If you had shown any wisdom back then and returned the remains he stole from us, none of this would have happened!"
"Cut the crap! I swear I’ll hang your son’s head on the city gates by tomorrow if you don’t return those four Ancient Dao Artifacts!"
Qin Yun’s words brimmed with fury and killing intent, his resolve ironclad.
Long Zhigui burned with anger and looked toward the Demi-Immortals of the Long Family and Medicine Immortal Valley, his eyes silently begging for help.
After all, he had already turned over those four Ancient Dao Artifacts.
"Can't produce them, huh? Then goodbye!" Qin Yun said, turning to walk into the Celestial Armory Palace.
"Commander of the Celestial Armory," the opposing side warned, "if this continues, we will go to war! Your Celestial Armory City has many external holdings, while we are backed by several great clans and two immortal sects. Do you really think you can win?"
The Demi-Immortal elder from Medicine Immortal Valley sneered confidently, "If it comes to war, I guarantee your city will crumble overnight!"
The elder from Canghuo Immortal Mountain added coldly, "And the people of this city will scatter like rats to avoid the crossfire. That will mark the beginning of your downfall!"
Bao Changshou roared in anger, "Is that a threat?"
"No," the elder replied, "I’m not threatening *you*—I’m threatening the entire Celestial Armory City! These people pay taxes here for protection. But you're sacrificing the whole city to protect Qin Yun. How can they ever trust you again?"
He spoke deliberately loud, sowing panic among the people. If war truly broke out, they would flee immediately to escape the chaos.
"Do you think our Celestial Armory City is some pushover?" Bao Changshou shot back coldly. "Even if we fall, we’ll drag you down with us!"
"We’d rather suffer heavy losses than let you survive! At least we’ll still stand in Ao Xing Province, while your city will vanish forever! Call my bluff—I dare you!" The Medicine Immortal Valley elder laughed arrogantly.
The Canghuo Immortal Mountain elder shouted, "Bao Changshou, there are six other Demi-Immortals inside the Celestial Armory Palace. Let them come out and decide!"
At his words, six white-robed elders flew out. They were not frail or aged; instead, they radiated vitality and vigor, clearly not among those on death’s doorstep.
The Long Family's Demi-Immortal watched them enviously. He himself was nearing the end of his life—unless he could ascend to full immortality, he had only a few centuries left at most.
"I’ve disturbed you all," Bao Changshou apologized.
"This disciple Qin Yun has indeed caused great trouble, drawing attacks from multiple factions. Kicking him out might end this mess," one elder suggested.
"If we do that," countered a short, bald elder, "wouldn’t that make us look like cowards? Don’t forget—it was Qin Yun who defeated Ying Chengyu’s disciple and defended our palace’s treasure!"
Another elder with disheveled hair proposed, "We could compensate him and get him safely to another city so he doesn’t get killed as soon as he leaves."
The Demi-Immortals were at odds.
