Chapter 0663 Devouring the Star Demon
by**Chapter 0663 – The Devouring Starfiend**
The fall of such a massive celestial body failed to stir Demon Martial Island—for the demon star was crafted from a blend of demonic qi and Stellar Force.
Upon impact, it merely spewed waves of corrupt demonic energy.
Demon Martial Island hosted ancient groves. Though overrun by demons for years, they had suffered little damage.
But now, the star’s descent stained every lush tree jet-black.
The entire island was cloaked in a thick, malevolent black mist.
Even past the barrier, the tainted aura seeped through—violent, suffocating.
Granny Ma muttered a curse: “That bastard really is reckless!”
Chu Binyu gritted his teeth. “That talisman’s near-impossible to craft—it’s taboo! If a demon-star this size hit a major city, it’d turn half the people into fiends!”
“What a wicked talisman!” Granny Ma spat, eyes icy as she glared at the Arcane Glyph Temple’s quasi-immortal.
“They get away with this crap? Bullshit!” The bald quasi-immortal roared.
“Hah! Let’s see Qin Yun worm his way out of *this*!” the Glyph Temple’s man laughed.
“You think this is *only* about Qin Yun?” Jian Shitian bellowed. “There are disciples from many sects inside! Ours too! Harm one of them, and I’ll carve your damn head off!”
His fury erupted in a crushing sword intent, pressing down like steel against every heart—terrifying.
The Glyph Temple man’s grin turned to ice. “Jian Shitian, calm down! I’ve sent men in with ancient demon-leashing techniques. They’ll control the demons and Beast Kings—your disciples stay safe!”
Jian Shitian wasn’t a man to cross. Cross him, and you died.
“I’d better not catch you lying,” Jian growled. “Even if it means war with the Glyph Elders—I’ll kill you.”
Bao Changshou said grimly, “If Qin Yun dies in there… I’ll drag a few down with him.”
Hearing that, the Glyph man scrambled for his message-conch, panic on his face.
Bao did the same. Backup was coming.
Both sides rallying their forces.
Han Fenghu had called his faction—but they hadn’t arrived yet. It gnawed at his nerves.
---
After parting ways with Jian Nanhu’s group, Qin Yun and his companions searched the forest for the Beast King.
Then came a tsunami of demonic energy crashing over them.
Luckily, their cultivation was high enough to repel the corruption instantly.
“What the hell? A demon king’s waking up?” Jian Ruyan gasped. “This energy’s *wrong*!”
“This isn’t just demonic energy—it has Stellar Force!” Yue Bufeng shouted. “That thing that fell—had to be a demon-star! Stars don’t drop for *fun*!”
Qin Yun frowned. “Then what caused it?”
“A Starfall Summoning Talisman!” Yue steadied himself. “The barrier starved the island’s demons, cutting them off from power.”
"With such intense Stellar Demon Qi suddenly descending, the demonic beings and the Beast King will surely absorb a massive amount and experience insane power surges!"
Long Qiaofeng gasped in alarm. "Insane power surges? How extreme could they be?"
Jian Ruyan said, "When a Demon Cultivator's power erupts, it can be terrifying! Do you remember Tian Yaolei? That guy went completely berserk after turning to the demonic path!"
Yue Bufeng chimed in, "Given the Stellar Demon Qi here, their growth rate will be much faster than Tian Yaolei's! The scariest part is, after their power surges wildly, the Beast King and those Demon Cultivators will surely go berserk, making them even harder to deal with!"
"Who could have done this?" Qin Yun ground his teeth. "Is this aimed at me?"
Xiao Yuelan said, "Apart from Sigil Hall, I can't think of any other faction capable of such demonic sigils!"
Yue Bufeng nodded. "Exactly. Sigil Hall has confiscated many taboo demonic inscriptions—only they could produce something like this!"
Long Qiaofeng said, "In that case, all the other disciples who entered Demonic Martial Island will inevitably be affected!"
Qin Yun and the others fell into silence.
"Sigil Hall wouldn’t dare exterminate all the disciples!" Yue Bufeng looked up at the sky. "With so much Stellar Demon Qi above, our elders must already know what’s happening."
"Are they just targeting Qin Yun? But that can’t be. Once those Demon Cultivators and the Beast King go berserk, how will they control them?" Jian Ruyan quickly asked.
"Ancient Demon-Taming Arts!" Xiao Yuelan said gravely. "If one masters such arts, they can control berserk Beast Kings and Demon Cultivators."
"Those who wield these arts only need to send a message or a fragment of memory to the Beast King and Demon Cultivators, and they will madly carry out the assigned task."
"Those Sigil Hall bastards!" Qin Yun roared in fury. "Are they really trying to kill me?"
Jian Ruyan patted Qin Yun’s shoulder. "The three Immortal Disciples sent by Sigil Hall are dead. Even though you only killed one, they probably blame you for all three."
"Jian Nanhu, that bastard, also had a hand in killing the Immortal Disciples! That guy is so strong—if the Beast King and Demon Cultivators come after him, he’ll be fine and probably even thrilled." Qin Yun cursed under his breath. "But that scoundrel made me take the fall!"
Roar!
Suddenly, a deep beastly growl echoed.
Jian Ruyan instantly drew her dual blades and grinned. "Now that this has happened, talking is pointless. All we can do is go on a killing spree!"
"These fiends are damned anyway—they deserve to burn in hell! Since they’re bound for hell, I’ll just send them there myself!"
"Lady swordsman, you all go ahead. I’ll handle the Beast King alone," Qin Yun said.
"Qin Yun, trying to monopolize the Beast King for yourself?" Jian Ruyan scoffed. "No way—I want a piece too!"
Yue Bufeng frowned. "They probably don’t know where Qin Yun is. They might just sense people nearby through the Stellar Demon Qi and are lashing out blindly."
Demonic Martial Island was already teeming with demons. Qin Yun and the others hadn’t encountered them earlier because they took detours.
While chasing the Beast King, they didn’t want to waste time on minor demons.
The group’s expressions darkened as they scanned their surroundings.
"Fine. Since they’re here, let’s take this chance to eradicate them completely and wipe out this evil forever!" Qin Yun declared.
"I’ll go first!" Jian Ruyan burst into action.
Each of them charged in a different direction.
Qin Yun had no idea what awaited him down his chosen path, but he wasn’t the least bit afraid. His arms suddenly surged with dark qi, which morphed into two massive Sky Lion claws.
"Xiao Yun, there's a lot of Stellar Force here... all condensed in the void for eons," said Ling Yuner.
"Can I use this Stellar Force?" Qin Yun asked. "But it's mixed with so much demonic energy!"
"No worries! Your Nether Sun Martial Spirit can easily refine this Stellar Force into your own!" Ling Yuner replied cheerfully.
"Absorbing Stellar Force directly from the air is too slow. Slay the fiends and drain the energy from their cores—I'll help you refine it later!" she added.
Qin Yun could absorb Stellar Force through the Star Sun Heart Sutra, but the amount he gathered was usually weak and scattered.
Now, however, a dense wave of Stellar Force came crashing down—energy accumulated over countless years, thick and powerful!
Swish!
Something appeared—a shadowy figure lunged at them!
A demon!
The demons Qin Yun had seen before still looked vaguely human, just monstrous-looking.
But this demonic being before him had jet-black skin armored with jagged scales, a mouth full of sharp black fangs, and claws like daggers.
"That's a Stellar Demon!" Ling Yuner exclaimed. "Take it out, now—"
"Die!" Qin Yun swiftly swung his lion claws, slashed down like swords.
Roar!
The Stellar Demon roared and dodged quick as a viper, its movements lightning-fast.
Qin Yun's strike missed!
"Hell, this bastard’s quick!"
His gut clenched, but he activated Radiant Mirage Steps, blurred into motion, and struck with the Mortal Blade Technique.
His lion claws, swift and fierce, raked through the air like scythes.
Slash!
The Stellar Demon's body was torn into several pieces, its black demonic blood gushing out like a ruptured pipe.
"Their blood is constantly expanding inside them—it only bursts out when they're killed!" Ling Yuner explained. "Xiao Yun, you saw it too. Their bodies contain a grotesque amount of blood, all stored within their bones. It's also a damn potent energy source!"
Qin Yun rushed over and scooped up its core.
Ling Yuner immediately wielded the Nether Sun Martial Spirit to absorb the Stellar Force within it.
"Done!" she chuckled.
"That fast?" Qin Yun was amazed, then felt a surge of pure mental energy flowing into his Starforged mind.
He absorbed Stellar Force to cultivate his mental energy.
"Yun'er, this Stellar Force won’t mess me up, right?" Qin Yun asked worriedly.
"Relax, not a chance! The energy refined by the Nether Sun Martial Spirit is extremely pure—you can trust that!" Ling Yuner assured.
"Keep culling these Stellar Demons. If you absorb enough Stellar Force here, then take those Yuanling Mystic Pills when you return, you’ll come damn close to breaking through to the mid-stage of the Spirit Martial Realm. Then, you can crack open the third bead of the Nine Sun Divine Pendant!"
