Chapter 0614: Expelled from the Sect
byChapter 0614: Kicked Out of the Sect
The square outside the Celestial Armory Palace was vast, capable of accommodating over 100,000 people without feeling crowded.
Currently, only a little over ten thousand had gathered, yet the collective pressure they emitted was overwhelmingly terrifying. Among them were more than twenty Emperor Wu cultivators and several hundred Martial Kings.
The most suffocating presence came from the deeply wrinkled elders of the major bloodlines—each at the Half-Immortal realm. Though they appeared one foot in the grave, their sheer presence was terrifying to the extreme.
Even from a distance, one could tell they were Half-Immortal powerhouses—venerated elders from the Dragon, Tian, and Yang bloodlines.
Though the Medicine Immortal Valley and the Canghuo Immortal Mountain lacked Half-Immortal experts, they had sent several powerful elders, all at the Emperor Wu level, indicating their grave concern about this matter.
"That punk Qin Yun really made waves, actually provoking the Half-Immortal powerhouses of the three great bloodlines!"
"Qin Yun is done for!"
"Perhaps it’s because the Dragon Clan’s patriarch was beheaded. The other clans want to prevent history repeating, so they’ve united to suppress Qin Yun!"
"They’re all after the treasures Qin Yun possesses! If he were penniless, do you think they’d mobilize like this?"
"If Qin Yun were penniless, he wouldn’t have the means to oppose these great bloodlines and immortal sects either!"
"Qin Yun has a Bone Dragon, totem tattoos, the Flamefury Rune Soul, and even an ultimate treasure that Ying Chengyu covets—who the hell is this guy?"
"Now it depends on if the Celestial Armory City will cave!"
The onlookers only dared to watch from afar, not daring to approach.
Granny Ma emerged, and her face fell upon seeing the assembled clans gathered alongside the Medicine Immortal Valley and the Canghuo Immortal Mountain.
Just then, a group clad in pink robes arrived—comprising young, beautiful women, older women, and several stern-faced elder women.
They were from Demonmoon Island!
Qin Yun’s bounty had been issued through Demonmoon Island, and now that he was in trouble, they naturally appeared.
Demonmoon Island was never backed down from trouble—they even dared to place bounties on elders from the Medicine Immortal Valley.
"The hell are you doing here?" a Dragon bloodline elder asked coldly.
"You’re all here to condemn Qin Yun, right? We're here on business. Once Qin Yun hates your guts, he might commission us to place bounties on your heads!"
The one who answered was Hu Jingxian, who purred with amusement. "Are you prepared to lose your heads?"
"Demonmoon Island, if you know what’s good for you, withdraw the bounties you’ve issued immediately!"
A Half-Immortal elder from the Tian bloodline spoke in a deep voice, making the ground shake for several kilometers.
"We don’t know what’s good for us—so what? If you’ve got the guts, attack Demonmoon Island!"
An elder woman laughed sharply, her voice like nails on slate.
Even Martial Kings winced in pain, as if their hearts were being stabbed.
This is an elder woman at the Half-Immortal realm!
The crowd was instantly shocked, as this elder woman from Demonmoon Island appeared far more vigorous than the three Half-Immortal experts from the noble clans.
Granny Ma walked out alone from the Immortal Armory Palace, glaring coldly at the crowd before her. "Your purpose here today is to demand our sect master expel Qin Yun from the sect, isn’t it?"
"Granny Ma, you understand well!" snapped an elder from the Dragon Clan.
"You clan factions clearly know our Immortal Armory City is at odds with the Medicine Immortal Valley and the Canghuo Immortal Mountain, yet you collude with them!" Granny Ma said furiously.
"Granny Ma, the reason Immortal Armory City is enemies with those two immortal sects is entirely Qin Yun’s doing!"
"Don’t you think he’s a jinx? If you expel him, the friends from Medicine Immortal Valley and Canghuo Immortal Mountain have promised to settle all grudges with us. That would be greatly beneficial for us!"
The Dragon Clan elder spoke.
At this moment, Hu Jingxian sneered, "Immortal Armory City, if you drive Qin Yun out, that would be kicking down the ladder after climbing up! Don’t forget who helped you protect the Sun Moon Celestial Bed back then!"
"Your Immortal Armory’s Illusory Domain and Soul Tower both rely on the Sun Moon Celestial Bed to function!"
The onlookers numbered in the millions, floating in the distant air, watching densely packed together.
Upon hearing Hu Jingxian’s words, a wave of murmurs swept through.
Many had no idea that Immortal Armory City’s treasure artifact possessed such immense power, sustaining the operation of the Soul Tower and Illusory Domain.
"Qin Yun only had the chance to compete with Ying Chengyu’s disciple because he entered our Immortal Armory City. That’s how he won the Flamefury Rune Soul—it was our Immortal Armory City that gave him the opportunity!" The Tian Clan elder scoffed.
"Bullshit!" Chu Binyu stepped forward, shouting angrily, "Back then, all of you opposed Qin Yun’s duel with Ying Chengyu’s disciple. Now you have the audacity to distort the facts like this!"
"Let the sect master come out!" shouted the Yang Clan elder. "I’ve heard clearly—the sect master has ended his seclusion. With so many guests here, shouldn’t he come out to greet them?"
As soon as the elder finished speaking, a swirl of white mist appeared before Granny Ma. When it dissipated, a short old man stood there.
He wore white robes, arms folded behind his back, his head bald. Yet he appeared spirited, his face radiant with vigor, few wrinkles, and a gentle smile.
"Spare me the flattery, Bao Changshou, congratulations on becoming the sect master of Immortal Armory City!" mocked the Dragon Clan’s Half-Immortal elder.
The sect master of Immortal Armory City was named Bao Changshou. Previously shrouded in secrecy, he was now a figure familiar to many Half-Immortals.
"Gallivanting about when your time dwindles? Spare me," Bao Changshou chuckled. "Though I’m older than you, I feel I still have many years ahead!"
Hearing his words, the Half-Immortal elders’ expressions darkened.
A shadow of fear crossed their eyes, for they could only reach the Half-Immortal realm, never ascending to true immortality.
Yet Bao Changshou’s vigor made it clear he had the potential to ascend.
"Bao Changshou, our time dwindles. Let’s not waste words. Make your decision quickly—will you keep Qin Yun or not?"
The Dragon Clan’s Half-Immortal said, "A prodigy of our clan, who had only just become clan head, was beheaded—all because of that damned Qin Yun!"
"Sect Master of Immortal Armory, if you expel Qin Yun, our Medicine Immortal Valley guarantees we will bury the hatchet with you!" said an Emperor Wu elder from Medicine Immortal Valley.
"Qin Yun killed many of our Canghuo Immortal Mountain’s disciples, igniting enmity between us. This is entirely his fault. If you expel him, we will seek vengeance from him alone!" added an elder from Canghuo Immortal Mountain.
Bao Changshou stroked his beard thoughtfully, then looked at the senior elders from the other clan factions. "You are elders of our sect, having served here for years. What is your opinion? Do you all agree to expel Qin Yun?"
The elders and disciples of the Dragon, Tian, and Yang Clans shouted over one another, listing every grievance against Qin Yun.
Hua Xiyue, Tian Yaolei, Yang Shenglong, Long Kuangxing, Long Ziming, and other disciples were the most vocal, as they had been humiliated the most by Qin Yun.
They particularly emphasized how Qin Yun had disrupted the balance of the Sacred Armory Illusion Realm.
Their opinions were unanimous—they wanted Qin Yun kicked out of the sect.
Bystanders just watched, but they couldn’t help but praise Qin Yun’s deeds in the Sacred Armory Illusion Realm, full of admiration.
"Granny Ma, bring Qin Yun out. I’ve decided to expel him from the sect. He will no longer be a disciple of our Immortal Soldier City!" Bao Changshou let out a small sigh.
Bao Changshou actually caved!
Representatives from the Medicine Immortal Valley, the Canghuo Immortal Mountain, and those from the prominent clans were all somewhat surprised. They never thought Bao Changshou would cave so easily.
After their initial shock, their faces broke into delighted smiles, each one grinning like kids who got free candy.
"Elder, please reconsider! Qin Yun’s talent in arcane inscriptions is either first or second among the younger generation!" Chu Binyu quickly interjected.
"Chu Binyu, as an honored elder, you will shut your mouth!" the Long family elder immediately barked.
Bao Changshou said, "Old Chu, Qin Yun violated our Immortal Soldier Palace’s sect rules by breaking into restricted areas. He has been imprisoned in the underground prison for a hundred years!"
"No matter how high his talent in arcane inscriptions may be, he is still a prisoner. Banishing him is mercy!"
"Such a thing happened?" Chu Binyu was stunned.
The clan factions had initially been overjoyed, but upon hearing this, they looked like they'd tasted something rotten, their faces twisting in dismay.
Had they known Qin Yun was to be imprisoned for a century, they would have come up with another plan.
But now, they had accidentally helped Qin Yun escape a hundred-year sentence.
...
At Granny Ma's arrival, Qin Yun knew the clan factions had succeeded.
"You're letting Qin Yun go again?" a Long family disciple asked.
"Yes! Qin Yun broke into restricted areas and was sentenced to a century in prison. But after pressure from the clan heads, the elder has agreed to kick Qin Yun out of the sect, so he can now leave the dungeon!" Granny Ma said coldly, looking at Qin Yun’s beaming face. "Qin Yun, you’re free!"
The clan disciples were stunned speechless!
In their eyes, Qin Yun being imprisoned for a hundred years would've been perfect.
Yet now, Qin Yun was being released precisely because he was expelled.
Seeing the smile on Qin Yun’s face, they immediately understood what had happened.
Their clan elders had been unaware of Qin Yun’s century-long sentence, and thus, by sheer coincidence, had helped him escape the underground prison.
...
Soon, Granny Ma flew out with Qin Yun.
Qin Yun stepped out with a grin, clasping his fists in gratitude toward the respected elders and allies, as well as the people from the Medicine Immortal Valley and Canghuo Immortal Mountain.
"I'm eternally grateful! Thanks to all of you, I've escaped a hundred-year imprisonment."
"Why didn’t you tell us Qin Yun was sentenced to a hundred years?" a Long family elder exploded angrily.
"I had no obligation to inform you!" Granny Ma snorted, pushing Qin Yun forward. "Brat, you’re free. I hope you live well!"
Chu Binyu was at a loss whether to laugh or cry, unsure if this was good or bad for Qin Yun. He sighed, "Elder, you’ve lost a once-in-a-generation talent!"
"No matter. We still have Liu Jingmeng—she's plenty talented herself!" Granny Ma said.
