Chapter 0897 Talisman Tools Enter the Body
byChapter 0897: Talisman Fusion
There were over a dozen Emperor Wu cultivators who had arrived.
They quickly learned about the incident here, and it indeed sounded like Luo Meiru and the others were the ones picking fights.
Hong Mengshu said, "Father, Brother Yun is my friend. I brought him in, and we weren't bothering anyone! This banquet wasn’t even hosted by them—who gave them the right to criticize us? We couldn’t be bothered to argue with them and were about to leave, but they stopped us!"
The Emperor Wu experts looked at Lu Tiangui’s hand, which had been reduced to pulp, indicating immense power.
"Hong Ying, no matter what, that punk threw the first punch here. He must be punished!" a round-faced middle-aged man said coldly. "And he injured a disciple of our Qianfeng Sect!"
*Slap!*
Qin Yun suddenly struck, smacking a fierce slap across Lu Tiangui’s face!
*Boom!*
Lu Tiangui was sent flying clean through a wall and landing outside.
"You—what are you doing?!" the round-faced man roared in fury.
"Didn’t you say you were going to punish me? Since I’m already going to be punished, I might as well beat him up again!" Qin Yun chuckled. "Oh, and by the way, my master is Brother Yu! I dare you to touch me!"
Ying Chengyu carried weight here, and the round-faced man hesitated, clearly wary.
The Emperor Wu experts could now see that Qin Yun was no pushover. For someone like him to serve as Brother Yu’s servant, there had to be deeper reasons—he was definitely no common slave.
Gong Feiyan and Luo Meiru, seeing how a Midstage Martial King Realm expert like Lu Tiangui had been sent flying with a single slap, were too terrified to speak.
They now understood why Hong Mengshu had claimed none of the young men here could compare to Qin Yun—because it was the plain truth!
"You—don’t push your luck! You injured a disciple of the Qianfeng Sect, and we won’t let you off! Even if Brother Yu—" Before the round-faced man could finish, Qin Yun blitzed forward in a blur.
The man barely dodged but still felt a white-hot pain across his face!
Qin Yun had unleashed the Ultimate Dragon Palm, striking with such force that the round-faced man was sent tumbling across the ground.
The crowd stood frozen, staring at the round-faced man—an Emperor Wu—now sprawled across the floor, his teeth scattered everywhere.
Hong Mengshu and Hong Ying were also shocked, not because Qin Yun had struck an Emperor Wu, but because his strength was in another league entirely.
The round-faced man, missing several teeth, staggered to his feet, his body flaring with rage as he bellowed, "I’ll destroy you!"
Qin Yun sneered. "If you dare lay a finger on me, I guarantee my master will have your head the moment he appears! Do you really think I’m just his servant?"
"You—you—!" The round-faced man pointed at Qin Yun, trembling with rage but unable to form words.
Those who had earlier mocked Qin Yun as a mere servant were now thoroughly frightened. This so-called "servant" had balls of steel—daring to slap an Emperor Wu!
Gong Feiyan and Luo Meiru burned with jealousy, wishing they had a powerful friend like Hong Mengshu did.
By now, it was clear to them that this "servant" had serious connections and carried himself with not an ounce of servility.
They had totally misread him. Had they befriended someone of his caliber, their future dealings would have been much smoother.
"How many Half-Immortals does the Qianfeng Sect have?" Qin Yun asked coldly.
"Three!" Hong Ying replied.
"Only three? That's fewer than Ying Chengyu's immortal tools! How dare such a puny sect act so high and mighty!" Qin Yun sneered.
The onlookers sucked in a sharp breath. They all knew "Brother Yu" was capable, but none had expected him to possess three immortal tools!
Earlier, Qin Yun had even called "Brother Yu" by his full name—they clearly weren’t just acquaintances!
"Meng Shu, leave that Qianfeng Sect and join a better one!" Qin Yun said. "Sticking around these small-minded fools will just make your life hell!"
Hong Mengshu looked at Hong Ying and whispered, "Dad, I’ve been dying to get out of the Qianfeng Sect!"
"Senior, with Meng Shu’s talent, she should be in a stronger sect!" Qin Yun scoffed. "How could you do this to your own daughter?"
"Alright, you find her a proper sect then!" Hong Ying chuckled, patting Qin Yun’s shoulder.
Hong Mengshu lit up with glee, shooting a smug look at Gong Feiyan, Luo Meiru, and the others. "See ya! I’m done being your junior sister!"
Just then, the Half-Immortals strode in.
The moment they stepped in, they saw the injured round-faced middle-aged man and the unconscious Lu Tiangui.
"What happened here?" asked a hunchbacked elder—this place’s Grand Master.
Several people quickly approached and recounted the events to the Half-Immortals.
Tian Dajiang spoke up, "Esteemed elders, that punk’s got a real attitude problem, all because he has Brother Yu backing him!"
Tian Siyu sneered, "Are we just going to let this slide? Not only did he fight in the Qiweng Hall, but he also injured people so severely!"
Ying Chengyu inwardly cursed Qin Yun—he had known Qin Yun would stir up trouble.
Of course, being a seasoned man, Ying Chengyu quickly laughed it off. "Everyone, this brat groveled to be my lackey only because he coveted one of my treasures. He wanted it for himself!"
A Qianfeng Sect elder immediately asked, "So you won’t object if we teach him a lesson?"
Ying Chengyu chuckled, "Go ahead. A servant needs to be put in his place. If you have experience in this, be my guest!"
The crowd was riled up. Earlier, they had assumed Brother Yu would protect Qin Yun, but now he seemed indifferent.
Gong Feiyan mocked, "So much for having connections, huh? Turns out it was all a bluff!"
Luo Meiru shouted, "Elders, drag him out and shame him in front of everyone!"
Tian Siyu "hahaha"ed triumphantly, "Hong Mengshu, you’re no longer a disciple of the Qianfeng Sect! That dog of a 'friend' promised to get you into a better sect, didn’t he? Now, whether he even makes it out alive is another matter!"
Hong Ying frowned slightly. "Everyone, do me this solid, Old Eagle’s asking. Let him go this once."
The round-faced middle-aged man who had been struck retorted, "Hong Ying, if you take the hit in his place, I’ll let him go!"
Having distanced himself from Qin Yun, Ying Chengyu stood aside, leaning back to enjoy the show.
Seeing Hong Ying step in, Qin Yun felt a surge of gratitude, while Hong Mengshu grew anxious—she’d figured Brother Yu had his back too.
Meanwhile, Gong Feiyan, Luo Meiru, and the other women continued to needle Hong Mengshu with catty jabs.
Ignoring them, Hong Mengshu tugged at Qin Yun’s hand, yanking his arm to bolt.
Qin Yun could run, but if he did, Ying Chengyu would walk away scot-free.
"Ying Chengyu, I should’ve known you were this rotten! If not for me, you wouldn’t have gotten your hands on that immortal artifact in the first place. And now you’re just gonna sit there and do nothing?" Qin Yun said coldly.
The HalfImmortals and Emperor Wu immediately turned their gazes toward Ying Chengyu.
"Don't listen to his nonsense, this guy is a slippery little fox!" Ying Chengyu chuckled, but everyone secretly trusted Qin Yun’s words.
Ying Chengyu cursed Qin Yun inwardly, knowing this would put a target on his back.
The round-faced middle-aged man said, "Kid, you slapped me earlier—I’ll pay you back ten times over! Hold still and take ten slaps from me!"
Qin Yun replied, "Wait! If you slap me ten times, all you'll get is some petty satisfaction, but nothing else. Tell you what—I’ll give you a Dao Talisman, and we'll square things up. What do you say?"
For Emperor Wu, Dao Talismans were nothing to sneeze at.
The onlookers were floored—they hadn’t expected this guy to possess a Dao Talisman.
"What kind of Dao Talisman?" the round-faced man asked.
Qin Yun took out a somewhat thick animal-hide talisman and smiled. "This is called the Stellar Flame Talisman—a mid-grade Dao Talisman!"
"Deal!" the pudgy man jumped at the offer.
A mid-grade Dao Talisman, especially one with strong offensive power, had even the Martial Kings green with envy—it was a rare treasure for them.
"Not too shabby!" The round-faced man grinned. "Do you have any more? This one only covers one slap. Give me nine more, and we’ll be even!"
The crowd had to hand it to him - the guy was sharp.
Qin Yun produced a slender throwing dagger and said, "I do have a Dao Talisman weapon—want it?"
The crowd's jaws dropped once more. A Dao Talisman weapon was even more valuable than a Dao Talisman!
The round-faced man laughed loudly. "Gimme that!"
Qin Yun tossed the knife to him.
After catching it, the man sneered, "This talisman weapon is junk—it only counts for one slap. That all you got? Keep bringing them out!"
"I don’t have anything else. Now what?" Qin Yun asked.
"Then it's your life on the line!" the round-faced man roared coldly.
"I'm nobody special—my life is worthless. How 'bout we make it yours instead?" Qin Yun smirked.
"Ah—!"
The round-faced man suddenly howled in pain as the throwing knife burrowed into his palm.
The spectators recoiled in shock!
That knife was a Dao Talisman weapon—if it entered someone’s body, all hell would break loose!
Doubled over in panic, the man shrieked, "It’s in my Dao Core… that knife is in my Dao Core!"
Qin Yun grinned. "Don't even twitch—it’s a Dao Talisman weapon. If it explodes, your Dao Core goes with it. Boom!"
Those near the round-faced man scattered like roaches.
"Elder… Elder, save me! Please save me!" the man babbled hysterically.
"I can’t save you!" The HalfImmortal also hastily retreated—the explosion of an Emperor Wu’s Dao Core could still harm him, as he had only recently become a HalfImmortal.
Ying Chengyu’s heart pounded—Qin Yun’s methods were terrifying. He shuddered in relief, glad he hadn’t acted against Qin Yun earlier.
"Brother! Brother, don’t do anything rash! I don’t want to die! Let’s call it even—no debts between us!"
The round-faced man fell to his knees, groveling before Qin Yun, and even returned the Stellar Flame Talisman to him!
