Chapter 0865: Return to the Prison Tower
byChapter 0865: Return to the Tower Prison
Qin Yun had finally reclaimed the DragonPhoenix Martial Soul, but he still felt weighed down. The curses on Zi Qingcheng and Shui Tianzi needed Celestial Dragon blood to break.
Long Yucang said that only the blood of the Immortal Dragon Ancestor would suffice. Qin Yun wasn’t sure if Long Bei’s blood would work, but he wanted to track down Long Bei and ask him.
"Hey, bro!" Long Yucang saw Qin Yun suddenly sway unsteadily and rushed to support him, then told Bai Kexian to carry the unconscious Xian Rujing.
"Let’s go!" Long Yucang carried the injured Qin Yun on his back and left the arena.
Both Qin Yun and Xian Rujing had fought until both were badly hurt.
Though Qin Yun had endured until the end, his injuries were severe. Once he let his guard down, exhaustion and pain overwhelmed him, making it impossible to stand.
Before, he’d been running on pure grit!
Long Chuanwu, who was now crippled, was receiving treatment at the edge of the arena. He regained consciousness and, seeing Xian Rujing being carried by Bai Kexian, shouted, "Rujing… Where are they taking Rujing? She’s my fiancée! I still need her to cultivate my immortal veins!"
"She’s wearing the Slave Control Collar—she’s that bald guy’s slave now!" an elder from the Celestial Dragon Sect snapped.
Long Chuanwu had cost them the dragon soul, and now he was crippled. Though they were upset, they were mostly furious, as all of this was his own doing.
"What… My fiancée is someone else’s slave? Rujing… My immortal veins… My luck’s the worst!"
Long Chuanwu was overcome with grief. Crippled and his fiancée now another’s slave, he was utterly devastated. He coughed violently, spewing a mouthful of blood before collapsing unconscious.
"Elder, he’s done for—his mind is shattered, and his heart meridians are broken," a middle-aged man whispered.
"Then let him die! Good-for-nothing!" the elder roared.
"But… what do we tell the higher-ups?" The middle-aged man looked helpless.
"Hmph, I don’t care! He lost the dragon soul himself. Now, we must find a way to retrieve it!" the elder snapped.
……
Qin Yun and Xian Rujing were taken back to Long Yucang’s estate.
In a spacious room, the two lay unconscious on a large bed.
Bai Kexian took care of them, changing them into clean clothes and letting them share the bed. Only after making sure they were stable did she leave the room.
Qin Yun had no idea how long he had been asleep when Ling Yuner suddenly woke him.
"Xiao Yun, Xian Rujing is lying right beside you, hugging you! She’s your slave now—you can do whatever you want with her, hehe!" Ling Yuner said with a sly grin.
"Yun’er, don’t joke around. I put that collar on her as a joke. I’ll remove it later—it’s too precious to waste!" Qin Yun replied.
At that moment, Xian Rujing, still half-asleep, slowly woke up. She was indeed hugging Qin Yun, one long leg draped over him.
As she came to, it all came back to her—her defeat, being knocked unconscious—and she abruptly sat up!
Beside her lay the bald guy with his shirt off, the one she despised most.
Her hair disheveled and wearing baggy sleep clothes, she quickly checked herself, relieved she was still untouched.
"The Slave Control Collar… This jerk actually collared me! Damn him, damn that bald freak!" The realization brought tears to her eyes, and she burst into tears.
Qin Yun opened his eyes and saw Xian Rujing crying bitterly, quickly saying, "I didn’t do anything to you... I didn’t even touch you. You were the one who clung to me in your sleep!"
"You damn bald guy, I’ll bite you to death!" Xian Rujing screamed, then sat on Qin Yun and sank her teeth into his left chest.
"Ah... you ice-cold tigress, stop it! Let go of me, or I’ll use my Dragon Claw Strike!" Qin Yun yelled in pain.
Xian Rujing was clearly beyond reason, biting down on Qin Yun’s left chest with all her might.
Qin Yun had no choice but to use his self-taught ultimate skill, the "Dragon Claw Strike," grabbing at Xian Rujing fiercely.
Though Xian Rujing sensed it, she refused to let go, still biting Qin Yun’s left chest.
At that moment, Long Yucang and Bai Kexian rushed in. Seeing Xian Rujing sitting on Qin Yun’s lap and biting his chest, they exchanged knowing looks. "Don't mind us!"
Bai Kexian blushed and quickly retreated outside.
After Long Yucang closed the door, Xian Rujing finally released her bite.
Qin Yun also let go of his grip, angrily saying, "Ice-cold tigress, are you trying to eat me alive?"
Xian Rujing straightened her robes, sobbing, "I’ve become someone else’s slave. What’s the point of living? Before I die, I’ll tear you apart!"
Qin Yun hurriedly put on his clothes and said, "You were the one who insisted on betting with me. You lost the bet fair and square—don’t blame others!"
Xian Rujing truly hadn’t expected to lose. With her strength, it should have been nearly impossible, but she hadn’t anticipated Qin Yun’s physical strength and Mental Energy being so strong, allowing him to ambush her at the last moment and knock her out.
In fact, Qin Yun’s Dark Moon had nearly shattered from Xian Rujing’s attacks. Even now, it hadn’t fully recovered.
This showed just how formidable Xian Rujing’s Mental Energy was.
"If I’m your slave, you’ll definitely torment me cruelly in the future... You were already bullying me just now, manhandling me so roughly it hurt!"
Xian Rujing no longer had her usual celestial composure. Instead, she looked like a wronged girl, crying pitifully.
Because of the Slave Control Collar, Xian Rujing didn’t dare kill Qin Yun—otherwise, she would die too.
Moreover, if Qin Yun wished, he could inflict excruciating pain on her soul.
"Alright, alright! Big Sister Rujing, I’m Yun, that guy you know. I put the Slave Control Collar on you just as a joke. I’ll take it off right now!" Qin Yun laughed.
Xian Rujing stared at the bald man before her, stunned.
After a moment of shock, she broke into even more violent sobs.
Qin Yun quickly went to comfort her. "Big Sister Rujing, I’ll remove the Slave Control Collar right now. Please don't cry! I really am Yun, that guy you know. We even went deep into the dragon’s lair and retrieved that mysterious Dao technique!"
"You bastard, scoundrel, son of a turtle... Why didn’t you say so earlier?!" Xian Rujing wailed, biting Qin Yun’s shoulder again.
"Ah... Why are you biting me again? We’re allies now, stop biting!" Qin Yun whispered, not daring to grab her this time.
Xian Rujing bit him for a while before finally letting go, calming down slightly as she wiped her tears and sniffled between sobs. "The Slave Control Collar... once it’s on, it can’t be removed. It’ll stay with my soul for life!"
Hearing this, Qin Yun went still for a moment before forcing a smile. "I won’t actually enslave you! You’ll still be free!"
"You bastard, if you’re Yun, that guy you know, why didn’t you say so earlier? And you even used that Dragon Claw Strike on me—twice! You were deliberately copping a feel!" Xian Rujing sat on the bed, crying and scolding him indignantly.
"I just didn’t want to reveal my identity. Who knew if you’d cooperate? What if you exposed me?" Qin Yun retorted.
"Then compensate me! Give me that Dragon Soul!" Xian Rujing stopped crying and demanded with a pout.
"No chance!" Qin Yun quickly shook his head, then said with a serious expression, "How about this? I'll make it up to you with my body!"
"Scram!" Xian Rujing shouted.
Qin Yun sat by the bed and said, "Long Chuanwu is already done for! You didn’t want that fiancé of yours anymore, and I took care of him for you. You haven’t even thanked me yet!"
Xian Rujing shot back, "Those Imperial Source Stones you took from me can count as my thanks!"
Qin Yun chuckled and said, "I’ll return those Imperial Source Stones to you!"
The dozens of Imperial Source Stones Xian Rujing had didn't mean much to Qin Yun now, as he still had the Imperial Qi Pill and other Imperial Source Stones others had lost to him.
Xian Rujing hurriedly took a storage bag, checked its contents, and added, "What about the Dragon-Phoenix Martial Soul? What use do you have for it? If it’s useless to you, give it to me too!"
"To be honest, I infiltrated the Dragon King Manor precisely for that Dragon-Phoenix Martial Soul!" Qin Yun sighed deeply, then explained the origins of the Dragon-Phoenix Martial Soul to Xian Rujing.
After hearing it, Xian Rujing dropped the matter.
"Alright, I need to go to the Nine Dragons Demon Prison Tower! I couldn’t defeat the ninth floor guardian before—he only let me out to participate in the Tournament. I still have to honor my promise and return!" Qin Yun said. "You’ll be free from now on too!"
Xian Rujing got off the bed, produced a pale blue gown, and put it on, resuming her icy, aristocratic air.
"Don't get yourself killed in there! Not that I care about you—it's purely self-interest!" Xian Rujing said icily.
Qin Yun immediately thought of the Slave Control Collar—if he died, Xian Rujing would definitely be affected.
"Don’t worry, I won’t die! Are you staying at the Dragon King Manor, or will you go out and see the world?" Qin Yun asked.
"I’ll wait for you to come out first!" Xian Rujing replied. "I’ll use the Imperial Source Stones to cultivate during this time and reach peak Martial King status!"
"Fine!" Qin Yun nodded.
The two of them walked out of the room, and Long Yucang and Bai Kexian, who were outside, didn’t pry—they just greeted them.
"Brother, I still need to go to the Nine Dragons Demon Prison Tower… I promised Long Bei I’d return after the Tournament," Qin Yun said.
"What? How… how long will that take?" Long Yucang asked in surprise.
"I don’t know. I might be trapped inside for a long time…" Qin Yun shook his head.
"Alright, I’ll let Grandfather know," Long Yucang nodded.
Qin Yun left Long Yucang’s residence alone and made his way to the Nine Dragons Demon Prison Tower.
Meanwhile, Xian Rujing asked Long Yucang for a private cultivation chamber and entered to cultivate in seclusion.
Soon enough, Qin Yun arrived at the base of the Nine Dragons Demon Prison Tower. He took out the token, flew up to the ninth floor, and was pulled in as he approached.
As soon as Qin Yun entered the ninth floor, he saw Long Bei, clad in gray robes.
"Senior, I’ve returned!" Qin Yun said.
"I must say I'm surprised you came back. I thought you might just run away!" Long Bei opened his eyes and smiled. "Even if you had fled, there’d be no catching you."
"A man's only as good as his word!" Qin Yun laughed.
