    Chapter 0842: Celestial Dragon Decree

The Spider Queen Long Tianji, with eight dragon-like claws, emerged from the Nine Sun Spirit Pearl.

Seeing Qin Yun bound by a golden rope around his waist and upper body, she croaked, "Can't you break free from this rope?"

"Of course I can... I called you out to release those little spiders!" Qin Yun chuckled. "Help me recon the perimeter and report back immediately if you find anything!"

"I can do that, but feed me first!" Long Tianji demanded.

Qin Yun curled his lips and grudgingly fished out a piece of meat.

Long Tianji was transactional—once she got her meal, she released swarms of tiny spiders.

The spiders moved swiftly, disappearing in a flash, scattering in all directions. There were over a hundred of them.

"Tianji, can those little spiders stay connected to you even from afar?" Qin Yun asked curiously.

"Yes! If they find anything, I’ll let you know right away!" Long Tianji didn’t return to the Nine Sun Spirit Pearl but stayed outside, waiting.

Long Tianji still resembled a spider, though her body was half-human in form. Qin Yun was quite eager to see her fully transform into a human.

Qin Yun glanced around and asked, "Don’t you think this place is a bit strange?"

Long Tianji had sensed it earlier. Hearing Qin Yun’s question, she replied, "What *is* this place? It looks dangerous!"

"I’m not sure either. All I know is it’s an underground world, also called the Bloodfiend Dragon Lair!" Qin Yun sat on a rock, patiently waiting for Long Tianji’s findings.

"Are there dragons here?" Long Tianji, who loved dragon meat, suddenly perked up.

Qin Yun felt a sinking feeling. The Nine Heavens Black Sparrow needed to eat dragons, and now this Poison Dragon Spider also craved them. He wasn’t sure if he could afford to sustain them both.

Both the Nine Heavens Black Sparrow and the Poison Dragon Spider were treasures, and even if it meant bankrupting himself, he’d have to tough it out.

"I don’t know if there are dragons, but danger is definitely present!" Qin Yun smirked. "Tianji, do you only like dragon meat? Won’t you eat anything else?"

"Yes, I only eat dragon meat. It strengthens the dragon blood in my body!" Long Tianji shot back.

Qin Yun had hoped to persuade her to try other foods, but it seemed Long Tianji was hellbent on power by sticking to dragon meat.

Over half an hour later, Qin Yun’s message conch crackled to life—a HalfImmortal from the Heavenly Dragon Sect was calling.

"Have you found anything?" the HalfImmortal asked.

"Not yet!" Qin Yun replied. "Do you want to come take a look?"

"No!" the HalfImmortal answered without hesitation.

They were all trembling in their boots and wouldn’t dare set foot in this underground world.

Qin Yun knew they were spineless and smirked inwardly. If he discovered anything valuable here, it would be his alone.

Two hours passed before Long Tianji announced: "There’s a discovery. One of the little spiders found a dead cultivator!"

"Anything special about it?" Qin Yun asked urgently.

"Yes. The body is unnaturally tough—likely a human at the HalfImmortal realm!" Long Tianji said. "Do you want to go check it out?"

"Yes!" Qin Yun said. "Lead the way!"

Qin Yun couldn’t help but envy Long Tianji’s ability. The little spiders she sent out weren’t just fast; everything they saw and sensed could be clearly transmitted back to her.

It was as if she had over a hundred clones!

So no matter what, Qin Yun had to keep her around.

Long Tianji was lightning-fast, so Qin Yun simply rode on her back, letting her carry him to save energy.

He did feel weird riding a giant spider, but it was also kind of thrilling.

"If I rode this thing through the city, it’d scare the hell out of people!" Qin Yun chuckled inwardly.

After sprinting nonstop for over half an hour, Long Tianji finally reached the corpse.

When Qin Yun got there, the body was in pieces, but the flesh and blood were still intact.

"What killed this guy?" Qin Yun frowned. "This guy was a Half-Immortal! He was killed by a massive blow to the back!"

"This body’s been here for three thousand years," Long Tianji examined it carefully and said.

"A Half-Immortal’s corpse can last millennia, but... in a place like this, there should be many demons or monsters around. Yet not a single one touched this body!" Qin Yun then noticed that the Half-Immortal was holding a token in his hand.

He grabbed it and inspected it, seeing the words "Heavenly Dragon" engraved on it.

"This token’s no joke—it’s a legit immortal artifact!" Qin Yun studied it closely, stunned by the immortal runes etched into it.

Ling Yuner said, "This Half-Immortal must’ve been a big shot in Dragon King Manor! That token was most likely a reward from the Heavenly Dragon Sect!"

Qin Yun stuffed the Heavenly Dragon Token into his pocket and searched the corpse further, but there was no Half-Immortal Life Crystal, and neither the martial soul nor the spirit remained.

"Just this lousy token, nothing else!" Qin Yun curled his lips in disappointment.

Out of nowhere, an icy wind rushed at them.

    "Look out!" Long Tianji barked.

Righteous Qi exploded from Qin Yun’s body, enveloping both him and Long Tianji in a protective barrier.

The wind twisted into a shadowy form, slamming into the white barrier with a bone-chilling screech.

The shadow, wreathed in dark energy, let out terrifying howls.

    "Must be an evil spirit!"

Qin Yun’s heart raced—that hit had been brutal. If it had hit him directly, his body would have been torn apart.

He whipped out the Soul Sacred Blade and flung it at the shadow.

The shadow convulsed violently before being devoured by the blade.

"Hell yeah, my blade eats evil spirits for breakfast!" Qin Yun retrieved the blade, sensing its satisfaction as it absorbed the shadow's energy.

"Evil spirits are powerful soul entities. The Soul Sacred Blade loves devouring souls, especially evil ones!" Ling Yuner remarked.

Long Tianji had thought she would have to intervene, but Qin Yun unleashed such formidable energy that it left her astonished.

Though he had defeated the evil spirit, Qin Yun couldn't shake off a growing unease.

The evil spirits here were no joke—their powers were freaky and unpredictable. A single misstep could lead to severe injury.

"Boss, the scout spider found something!" Long Tianji suddenly shouted.

"What did it find?" Qin Yun asked urgently.

"Roughly two hours away from here... there's a massive structure!" Long Tianji said.

"Let's check it out!" Qin Yun felt that the enormous building had to be the heart of this underground realm.

Long Tianji immediately took off running, taking Qin Yun with her.

Along the way, Qin Yun continuously released Righteous Qi, shrouding them both to avoid attacks from wraiths.

After nearly two hours, Qin Yun finally saw the enormous building. From a distance, it loomed as a colossal circular palace, hundreds of meters high and at least ten thousand meters wide.

Even from afar, it was breathtaking, radiating ancient mystique while also bearing down with crushing pressure.

Inside that colossal palace, it felt as if some powerful monster was imprisoned.

"What exactly is this thing?" Qin Yun also waved Long Tianji to a halt.

"One of the little spiders was killed! Before it died, it saw a very tall black giant!" Long Tianji said.

"It must be a demon!" Qin Yun took out a message conch and sent a message to the people of the Heavenly Dragon Sect, while also instructing Long Tianji to retrieve the little spiders.

The elder from the Heavenly Dragon Sect quickly responded, "Go scout the palace yourself and see what's there."

Qin Yun said, "No way I'm going in there. There are powerful demons outside, and I can’t defeat them! You wanna see it? Come yourself. If you want good treasures, you’ll have to take risks!"

Qin Yun was still tied to the rope, which seemed to extend endlessly, almost as if it could stretch infinitely—a downright magical phenomenon.

After some discussion, the Heavenly Dragon Sect finally decided to check it out. They instructed Qin Yun to stay in place while they followed the rope to his location.

Qin Yun was positioned on the slope of a low hill, covered in those black iron trees. On the other side of the hill stood the enormous palace.

Qin Yun sat inside a hollowed-out tree, waiting patiently.

Long Tianji spent over an hour retrieving the nearby little spiders before entering the third bead of the Nine Sun Divine Pendant.

Alone in the tree hollow, Qin Yun smirked to himself, "Yun'er, how many do you think will die when they arrive?"

Ling Yuner laughed, "Just don't let Long Chuanwu die, otherwise, that'd be letting him off too easy!"

It would take the group quite some time to arrive, and Qin Yun estimated it would be at least three to five hours.

When Qin Yun had come, he had covered his tracks, so he hadn’t made much noise.

But with a large group, even if each person let slip a bit of energy, the combined presence would be strong enough to easily attract demons or wraiths.

Qin Yun had deliberately kept the rope intact to lure the group into danger.

After waiting four hours, the group finally arrived.

Qin Yun jumped down from the tree and saw that every one of them looked like hell. Originally numbering two hundred, only about a hundred and fifty remained, with dozens more banged up bad.

Nearly fifty people had died on the way here!

Qin Yun had to bite back a laugh—he had known many would perish.

To his relief, Long Chuanwu was still alive, though clearly terrified.

Xian Rujing remained expressionless, clutching an immortal blade slick with green gore.

"Worthless lackey, where is that enormous palace? You playing games with us?" Long Chuanwu, upon seeing Qin Yun, angrily rushed over, grabbed his collar, and punched him in the face.

Qin Yun growled through gritted teeth, "Bastard! Cross this hill, and you’ll see the palace. There are even more terrifying things inside!"

An elder pulled Long Chuanwu away and warily scaled the hilltop to confirm the presence of the massive palace before quickly returning.
