Chapter 0727 Puppet Divine Arts
byChapter 0727 Puppet Divine Arts
Qin Yun felt that he would have to face Xiao Xuanqin sooner or later, so it was better to be upfront and talk things out early.
Yuemei frowned and said, "Brother, you can't meet Auntie yet. After she awakened her memories, she became far more intimidating! You don’t know this, but in her past life, she was a very fierce woman!"
Qin Yun recalled the time he and Xiao Xuanqin had entered the Tianxiao Emperor’s Tomb together. They had had a good rapport, so he didn’t think she would turn on him so quickly.
"It’s fine! After you all awakened your memories, didn’t you still get along with me just fine? Even Sister Bingxing treats me quite well now!" Qin Yun laughed. "Yuemei, you’re way overthinking this. Once I meet her, everything will be resolved!"
Yuemei snorted lightly. "Brother! Auntie’s situation is different from ours! In the Immortal Wasteland, she was a high-ranking celestial maiden. First, you tricked her out of many things, then later stole even more from her and auctioned them off. She hates your guts!"
"Why was my past self so fixated on targeting her?" Qin Yun couldn’t understand and asked.
"Who knows? Anyway, your past self was a total jerk! The last time Auntie saw me, she said that if she ever met you, she’d definitely kill you!" Yuemei said with a worried expression. "Even if she doesn’t kill you, she’ll definitely pummel you!"
Qin Yun curled his lips. "Then what should I do? Avoid her? Fine, I’ll hide from her for now. I’ll follow you guys secretly!"
Yuemei’s eyes lit up with mischief as she giggled. "Brother, I have a great idea to let you stay here!"
"Speak!" Qin Yun had a bad feeling when he saw her playful smile.
"I’ve mastered a Divine Art called Puppet Divine Arts. It can turn someone into a puppet! Then, I can reshape the puppet’s appearance at will, though it only lasts for a short time!" Yuemei grinned. "Brother, I’ll turn you into a pretty girl and tell Auntie you’re my friend!"
"Hell no! Get lost!" Qin Yun knew nothing good would come of this and pinched Yuemei’s cheek. "Stop messing around, be serious!"
Yuemei pouted. "Only by turning you into a girl will Auntie not suspect anything. If she sees me with a grown man, she’ll definitely get suspicious and investigate you. You’ll be figured out instantly!"
"I refuse to become a woman!" Qin Yun said firmly.
"Brother, I’ll only change your face into a girl’s and adjust your build a bit. It’s not permanent—just for a few days!" Yuemei smirked.
"Just alter my appearance, but keep me male. I’ll pretend to be your puppet, alright?" Qin Yun could sense Xiao Xuanqin and the others getting closer and quickly said, "No time left, hurry up!"
"Cooperate with my Divine Arts!" Yuemei sulked, stamped her foot lightly, and transformed Qin Yun into a handsome youth.
To Qin Yun’s surprise, the Divine Arts energy entering his body could even alter his physical structure. His height and body size rapidly changed.
Soon, Qin Yun became a baby-faced teen even younger-looking than Yuemei.
"Brother, I wish you could stay like this forever!" Yuemei giggled as she pinched Qin Yun’s handsome face.
Qin Yun quickly put on a proper-fitting set of clothes and glared at her.
Before long, three breathtaking women floated down, like goddesses descending untouched by mortal dust.
Xiao Xuanqin wore a white dress, elegant and noble, her mature oval face icy cold.
To her left was Zi Qingcheng in a purple dress, her beauty unparalleled as she descended gracefully, exuding an aura of peerless grace.
To Xiao Xuanqin’s right was Shui Tianzi, her face innately alluring, as if born for allure. Her captivating eyes dripped with allure, and her faint smile radiated irresistible temptation with every movement.
Seeing these women again, Qin Yun was startled. After so long apart, he almost didn’t recognize them—not only had they become even lovelier, but their strength had also increased significantly.
Especially when he saw Zi Qingcheng, he ached to pinch that beautiful face—the very same Sister Baozi he had dreamed of teasing.
"Xiao Yun, go for it—take them all on! Hahaha…" Ling Yuner blurted out excitedly.
"Yuemei, who is this?" Xiao Xuanqin looked at Qin Yun.
Qin Yun and Xiao Yuemei let out a sigh of relief as Xiao Xuanqin didn't recognize Qin Yun.
"This is a little puppet I just got—it's quite impressive!" Xiao Yuemei giggled, then pinched Qin Yun's cheek. "And it's got great texture. Come, feel it!"
"What a handsome little brother!" The flirtatious Shui Tianzi glided over with a playful laugh, her delicate fingers stroking Qin Yun's face.
Then, she slid her hand under his collar, caressing his chest. "This puppet is truly amazing—it even has a heartbeat!"
Though Qin Yun was being groped, he had to maintain a vacant expression, acting completely wooden. He cursed inwardly, wishing he could [do something to her].
"Yuemei, where did you get this puppet? Can you modify its face? I want one too—I'd shape its face to look like Qin Yun's and play with him every day!" Shui Tianzi smirked mischievously, her hand suddenly darting toward Qin Yun's waist, about to slide lower.
Xiao Yuemei was startled and quickly grabbed her wrist. "Sister Shui, don’t push it! I used the Divine Arts to turn a person into a puppet, and it won’t last long. If you overexcite him, it’ll shorten the transformation!"
"Is that so?" Shui Tianzi chuckled softly, then lovingly stroked Qin Yun’s face. "His eyes look a lot like Qin Yun’s!"
"Don’t mention that scoundrel!" Xiao Xuanqin snorted coldly. "If I ever see him, I’ll strip him bare and hang him at the gates of every city for a day!"
Qin Yun’s heart skipped a beat, now understanding why Xiao Yuemei had been so worried. Their enmity, between Xiao Xuanqin and his past self, was blood-deep.
"Xuanqin, the one you hate is just Xiao Yun’s past life," Zi Qingcheng sighed softly, her gaze grew distant with longing. For some reason, she suddenly missed Qin Yun terribly.
"I don’t care. I must teach him a lesson to rid myself of this humiliation!" Xiao Xuanqin’s face contorted with rage at the mention of it.
"Let’s not talk about this anymore! Did you come here looking for Sister Yang too?" Xiao Yuemei asked.
"Yes. We’ve wanted to come for a while, but Xuanqin insisted on waiting for the Blue Moon to appear—it makes finding Shiyue easier," Zi Qingcheng explained.
Shui Tianzi sighed faintly. "I wonder if Qin Yun will come. I heard he made quite a scene in the Martial Arts Championship. He probably doesn’t dare go roaming about now."
"After we find Shiyue, I’m going to the Immortal Armament City. He helped and saved me a few times before," Zi Qingcheng said quietly.
"Let’s go find the Star Beast first," Xiao Xuanqin said.
She didn’t want to discuss Qin Yun anymore. Truthfully, her feelings toward him were conflicted. She cared deeply for him—he had helped her refine her soul, aiding her breakthrough. When they ventured into the Tianxiao Emperor’s Tomb together, he had also saved her.
It was during that time she developed feelings for him. Her current incarnation felt affection, while her past self hated him to her very bones. This conflict tore at her constantly.
Her past memories were vivid, especially the hatred she held for Qin Yun’s past incarnation. After all, she had spent thousands of years hunting him down—those memories couldn’t simply vanish.
Her present attachment to Qin Yun was fleeting, merely a secret infatuation that never deepened. Thus, her resentment outweighed her affection, though she no longer sought his death—just to work out her frustrations.
Xiao Yuemei understood Xiao Xuanqin’s conflict, which was why she kept Qin Yun from meeting her.
Qin Yun, playing the part of a puppet, followed the women as they flew through the air.
Xiao Yuemei suddenly asked, "Auntie, didn’t you say before that Brother helped you refine your soul? Can’t you stop hating him? He’s been good in this incarnation!"
"I... I can’t help it! Fine, as long as I don’t see his face!" Xiao Xuanqin sighed, her complex emotions surfacing helplessly.
"Yuemei, have you seen your brother recently?" Shui Tianzi giggled. "I vowed I’d belong to him, to serve as his assistant for life. I still haven’t fulfilled that!"
"I visited him at the Immortal Armament City," Xiao Yuemei replied. "You can go see him there when you have time."
"I wonder how his artifact refining skills are now," Zi Qingcheng mused. "I happen to need a few things. I’ll ask him to craft them for me someday."
Qin Yun grumbled inwardly, *This Sister Baozi only comes to me when she needs something. I’ll pinch those dumpling cheeks of hers!*
Xiao Xuanqin, flying ahead, glanced back and asked, "Yuemei, what can this puppet actually do? Or is it just for show?"
"He's pretty capable, but just a puppet after all—no loss if he's gone!" Xiao Yuemei feigned nonchalance.
"Yuemei, are you still conning people everywhere?" Xiao Xuanqin asked.
"Not anymore! Only when I run into bad people, I give them what they deserve!" Xiao Yuemei laughed, though she was lying right now—and had just tricked many people earlier.
"Yuemei, in your past life, you ran wild with that bastard, swindling people everywhere. In this life, you must reform!" Xiao Xuanqin said sternly.
"Mm, I know!" Xiao Yuemei replied earnestly.
Zi Qingcheng and Shui Tianzi also knew about Xiao Yuemei and Xiao Xuanqin's past lives—Xiao Xuanqin had told them. Clearly, the three were quite close.
Suddenly, a dark shadow shot up from the ground into the air.
"Beast!" Xiao Xuanqin flicked her wrist, releasing a blue flame like a zither's vibrating string, striking the shadow.
The shadow crashed to the ground—it was a massive tiger-like Star Beast, looking utterly ferocious.
What was terrifying was that many more of these tiger-shaped Star Beasts suddenly burst forth from the ground below!
